Official Jordan XI Thread

No, the height on the OG and 2000s is pretty close. The recent retros with the revised shape are taller than either. 09-15 patent cut sucked but there's a lot embellished about OG pairs now that we have an improved retro. I'm doing a pair of OG breds for my wife (which I'll post before Xmas when they're done) and they're definitely shorter than her retros in the same size. Same as my concords. The recent retro and gratitudes both are taller, bigger shoes in the same size.
Do you prefer the taller look or the shorter OG/2000 look?

I don’t really have a preference there, I just think the way the patent wraps around the front of the shoe looks best on OGs with the 00-01 retros still having a superior look to recent retros. I don’t have a lot of complaints about the current shape and cuts. I can see why someone might prefer a slightly bigger shoe and higher patent profile view.

Kith has sizes 7-10...

I had a feeling the brand was going to saturate the market with an influx of a multitude of colors heading into the latter part of this year to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Jordan XI. That's all understandable based on the timing and popularity of this classic and desirable model.

But I admit I'm disappointed they opted to make the Gamma the official December release for this year instead of an original color from the 1995-96 NBA season as I preferred. I truly thought they were going to come out with an original color for this year's annual December Jordan XI release.

It was a no-brainer the Legend Blue (Columbia) wasn't coming out this year since it was last year's release. I didn't expect it to be the Black/Red since those last came out in 2019. I assumed it would be the Concord with the 23 on the back for this year perhaps since the version with the 23 last came out as that dreaded crappy version in 2011. Perhaps the brand thought it was too soon to rehash the Concord since it last came out in 2018, albeit with the 45 on the back.

I'm glad I passed on the city gimmick colors from this year since none of the colors appealed to me. And they were also difficult to obtain as they were only regional.

The only XIs I got this year were the Black/Red Low. I honestly got them just because I learned Jordan actually wore them in the early part of the 1996 NBA Finals.

Best thing about 11s is there’s only 4 colorways I’ll ever need. They’ve never made a dope non og in my opinion. It always looks garbage.
I think Cool Greys deserve to be in the conversation as well, especially given there is no OG space jam per se. The new additions to that first retro run were absolute fire
