I know, right? Nothing like the first DMP XI or like any other XI, really. Just such a strange rendition of my all-time favorite (the Concords).

I know we could call basically every release a straight money grab, but these feel like an extra one to me. Too soon to bring back Concords so you bring back basically Concords and then in another couple years bring back Concords again and THEN you bring back actual DMPs. Multiple “Concord” releases that sell out for hundreds of millions each time.

If I ran a business and knew I could do this, best bet I’d do it. But as a consumer, I’m not falling for it. You’re better to stock up on actual Concords every time they drop and then you don’t have to worry about this other nonsense JB comes up with

This has been covered repeatedly. The 2018 Concords are pretty spot-on in the height compared to some OG pairs. MJO23DAN made a video where he literally measured the new ones and OGs. It’s just that the cuts varied back then just like today, maybe even more so.

Height isn't too much of an issue though the earlier pairs like SJ's and WL joints are a little OD. Also not a fan of the toe box cut and the outrigger change on the medial sole.

To me the overall shape is weird compared to OG's.. the uppers are all boxy. But the best retros since the early 2000 pairs.

Yep, it’s the outrigger and toe shape that need fixing next.

the shoe could use an upgrade from the conventional air sole to a zoom setup, also the foam as well. I hated the squeak that the XIs have.

A little WD40 or graphite lube takes care of the infernal squeaking.
