***Official Los Angeles Dodgers 2026 Thread *** 2024 and 2025 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!!! BACK TO BACK!!! 61-36.

As much as it hurts that the Fresh Prince is still out, Rushing has been outstanding given the expectations.

I wonder how the predominantly Latino Dodgers fanbase feel about the team visiting Trump at the White House today, while this administration continues to deport, detain, abuse, harass and violate their own people?

Props to Betts and K. Hernandez for skipping the event and more than a little disappointed to the cowards that decided to attend.

Shame on the Dodgers organization. 2 years in a row….and I’m not talking about winning championships.

Do better!

the way I see it. a majority of the dudes in that clubhouse are conservative leaning, same for 29 other mlb clubhouses. with the exception of blake treinen it doesn't necessarily mean they're all a bunch of hardcore maga's but they're in a tax bracket where they likely feel conservative policies are better for their personal bottom line and i'm sure that's a big priority for them.

the guys who aren't your typical mlb conservative most likely just want to play baseball and get their paychecks and feel like they didn't sign up for being an activist or openly speaking out against a political administration even if they don't rock with what this administration is about. hell i'm sure there are players who would like to speak out more but saw what happened to colin kaepernick in terms of quickly being ostracized and blackballed to where unless you're a superstar in your prime to sustain that, I see how some dudes would be reluctant from the perspective it could cost them their career. that's not even considering how it's understandable how some players who don't rock with this administration would rather just entertain the white house dog and pony show as opposed to having a bunch of maga crazies harassing them and their families because they didn't kiss the ring of the orange guy.

I hate that they visited the Clown in Chief, but I also know that’s unrealistic for the team to boycott a White House visit, especially when they have a shady billionaire owner. It is what it is.

This is across all sports too.

100% agree, definitely much more visible in the NHL. But from a strictly financial perspective a lot of the NFL and NBA guys are on the exact same time but are usually more discrete about it.

Adding to that alot of these athletes and celebrities are likely to have much more positive individual interactions with Trump or whoever compared to your average everyday person that’s negatively impacted by this administration. Without getting too political in a MLB team thread, I’m sure Trump comes off as a laid back down to earth guy and acts real friendly with the players at these events to where he comes off as likable in their interactions with him to where there’s probably a very small percentage of players who would speak up or say something in an encounter like that.

Too much risk going against Trump as an athlete. I wish today’s athlete (outside of a few) cared more about the community that they play in than they do but I don’t blame athletes when regular people and industries are folding at best, but at worst are complicit in his criminality. lawdog1 lawdog1 and I can vouch how law firms were the first to fold under Trump and other industries and are walking lock step with his criminality. Churches, businesses, sports teams and regular people put us here and all we can do is document and when things get better never let those that put us here forget.
