Rampage was able to defend takedowns, Rashad should be able to as well since his wrestling is better.  Rashad has also said he would sometimes dominate jon in the gym but that doesn't mean it'll happen in a fight.  Evans doesn't have the chin that Rampage has though, he gets dropped a lot in his fights.
Not sure if a super fight with Silva would happen, Anderson has already said he is friends with jones so he wouldn't fight him.

They've probably said hi once or twice, and now they're such good friends?

Barry is about to destroy Struve's legs. Barry always seems to find a way to lose, though.

Bones is going to destroy Rashad. When the time comes Ill put up $100 even money with anyone backing Rashad on here.

Rashad will end up fainting himself to death and get put to sleep. He couldn't get inside on Machida who doesn't have a reach advantage... He wont be able to against Bones either.

I was rooting for Page but I knew Jones was gonna be a tough fight cause Quinton is so 1 dimensional and Jones is so dynamic. No hate for bones though.

Traditionally Rampage is the $$@+*%@%! in every sense... People mistake being reserved with arrogance far too often...

Bones looks like Kareem out there... he's not lettin anyone inside

Let's see if the UFC will grant Rampage's request to fight Shogun in Japan.

And looking at the LHW division, I don't think anyone will stop Jones. I can't see Rashad, Shogun, Hendo, Machida, Phil Davis, King Mo, or Mousassi stopping this guy. He's straight beast. Have him go to HW after he cleans out the division.

I think it sounds crazy but Hendo may have the best shot right now with his wrestling ability and that bomb of a right hand.

Fight has to happen though, Dan ain't gettin any younger.

Rampage/Shogun in Japan would be

Also, what's up with Bones constantly trying to kick Rampage in the knee caps? Is that legal? And when Bones flipped Rampage to the floor after the bell sounded and walked away rubbed me the wrong way. I still like Bones a lot, but those two things didn't sit too well with me while watching the fight.

^ Yea those kicks are legal... Once he established those though Rampage was off his game completely. Jones was in his head by the end of the 2nd round.

And I don't think that "flip to the floor" was a big deal at all... it wasn't a late strike or anything and Page wasn't hurt by it, but it was clearly an idgaf by Bones.

Please please please, Shogun vs Rampage in Japan. Congrats to Jones for finally beating a legit opponent, no disrespect to Shogun at all. But man the slurping of Jones is just disgusting. Please don't put this kid in the same sentence as Anderson Silva, he may be rolling through fights with ease but he doesn't have the same skillset.

I know the praise for Jones and his "phony" personality are rubbing people the wrong way, but you guys gotta understand that a lot of it is just business. He's 24 years old, a clean cut family man, and he's already one of the top fighters on the planet. Like GSP, he is a key asset for the UFC. His fighting potential is tremendous, and so is his marketing potential (they already have him jetting overseas in a couple weeks for more promotion). He's just a young guy trying his best to carry a heavy torch.  It can't be easy, and the growing pains are on display for everybody to see, but the fact that he keeps putting up these great performances is pretty admirable in my book.
Much respect to Rampage. He was very classy in defeat. I recommend checking out his interview with Helwani:

Seems like a lot of people are upset by the comparison.  No one is saying he's at Anderson level, but his standup style and the way he's dominating contenders is similar.  Tall, lanky fighters who will throw crazy strikes at any time.  He even copied Silva's kicks to the kneecaps and thighs.  He uses elbows, kicks, knees, and clinches well.  He doesn't have the power shots or matrix kind of knockouts though.  Silva avoids getting hit by his head movement, jones is always on the outside because of his reach and people can't touch his chin.

Jon Jones really is the future of MMA, deym. nothing bad I can say, he dominated my dude Rampage. I did hope that it lasted 5 rounds and they go to scorecards(even if it's clear Bones won). man I hate to see Rampage tapout..

that fight was boring i'm so glad i didn't buy it!!!

and i can't believe any of you said dan henderson has a shot at beating jones.. NO WAY he would be embarrassed

rashad would probably be his best competition, i would like to see that fight..

The thing is Bones doesn't stay positive, when he gets insulted he plays "I'm the bigger man role" at that time, but then in his very next interview he says some backhanded insult about his opponent, with that little smirk of his. He has that "how dare someone insult me, talk down to me", he is not a good trash talker so he says these very passive aggressive things all the time, makes him come off like a punk.
On the flip side look at GSP, a sincerely nice guy who is not a good trash talker. When someone insults him he really does be the bigger man and saves it for the ring.

And the God talk Bones be doing is OD. It's one thing to be a christian and thank God for your blessings. But to say that you winning and being champion is somehow God's will, God's plan, that to me is some serious fockery. It's like the world is a better place because Bones Jones got the belt, @++$ with that.

Reminds me of Mayweather, when he was on his Pretty Boy Floyd act and trying to be humble you could see right through it. There is a little "Money May" in Bones and he is doing his best not to let it come out.

You're wrong. The part where he mentioned the Endicott flood and asked people to donate was pretty douche-y, I must say.

I'm not big on the religious stuff either, but he's not the only one that does that. Let's not forget that Rampage is "God's street soldier" and even thanked the "most high" last night after the fight. Matt Hughes? Dude posts a bunch of scriptures on his website all the time. Fedor? His last three losses and whether he'll retire or not has all been "God's will." Vitor? I personally think he's cocky and he's just as bad, if not worse with the religious mumbo jumbo. The list goes on and on. It doesn't seem like people hate or have too much of a problem with any of those fighters (at least not even close to the level of Jones).

I think that's why people really hate him, though. Look at the names I mentioned above and how long they've been around. I think people don't like the fact some kid came out of nowhere and is destroying legends/fan favorites.

I really don't doubt that he's a little cocky but I feel it's getting more and more difficult to tell whether it's contrived by the UFC or not. Didn't Penn just imply the UFC has him say a bunch of stuff he didn't want to?

Guys like Rampage can bully/hump/motorboat reporters and get involved in high-speed car chases with cops, but if Jones just happens to come off a little cocky and his squeaky-clean image is being force feed, everyone wants the former to knock the latter's head off.
