Also word to what shoeking just said about D Wade, remember that season when he was averaging 30 a game and willing the heat to w's?
**** was amazing man, his body is deteriorating though but Bron seems to have a lot of years of dominance left so it will ease the load.

Probably talking about 08-09, my favorite season from him by far. He was phenomenal that season.
It's just sad to see that he's a shell of his former self, relatively early in his career. You see Kobe making it to his 18th season and looking like he could easily play another 5 more, same for Tim Duncan, KG, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen,a few more. And then you see Wade looking like he may not be able to play past his 13th.
You can tell by the way he plays now on the rare occasion he's on the floor. He's always been a streaky shooter since his days at Marquette, and when it's going he looks great. But what always made him special as a tweener was his length and fantastic athletic ability which hid his inability to shoot well consistently. Now that it appears that that athleticism is fading, he's regulated to that struggle. We all know that struggle too, that whole trying to beat people off the dribble and them being still there, throwing up garbage around the rim and crying for fouls, turning it over, that struggle.

If you want to look at the numbers, he's averaging less FT attempts as a Knick than when he was in Denver. He's also shooting more 3's as a Knick. His usage rate is roughly the same as well. It seems like he gets fouled a few times each game that doesn't get called, but most star players could make that complaint as well.

I thought it was kind of silly that Knicks fans were complaining about it so much. In the Mavs game he may have gotten fouled and didn't get the call, but in general, I feel like he gets fouled as much as he deserves to. KD and Kobe are artists in terms of drawing fouls. Melo just doesn't have that degree of talent to draw those fouls. Most fouls KD gets are because he forces the issue, and puts his arms into the defender.
There are nights when Melo gets like 10-15 free throws. Not sure what else there is to ask for from the refs. It's not like he's sitting in the paint all game. He takes a lot of perimeter shots. What can you say?

Prime example of a player who never really change/tweak their game as they get older..
MJ and Kobe did it very well.. seemed like Lebron is going on the right path as well.. spending more time on the post even though he's still very young

Matt Barnes just gave them their first bench points of the game, and without Griffin hitting a number of tough jumpers Hawks would be up 30+ right now.
