I bought my lil brother 2K18 for $60 my mom's told me she done gave this lil ***** about $150 for "the subscription" son deadass lied to her so he could cop VC
And this is why this game will market to younger and younger kids until they're all making transactions with their parents' cards without them being fully aware of what's going on.

That's the new model for all gaming: 2K, Fortnite, Fallout etc. It's all a scheme to get people hooked on microtransactions.

Same type of **** that Facebook takes advantage of our brains wiring with. Trick you into that dopamine high, and keep you coming back.

Exactly why I'm happy I grew up playing N64,PS1,PS2,GC,XBOX, etc.

Younger generation has no idea how gaming should be.

Can't imagine paying for this broken POS 3 times over just to level the playing field.

It's insane

I don't spend no bread on that at all. I play until I'm bored and I give up, my player maxes out at a 75 or so every year. 1st day the game drops dudes walking around with 85 overalls :smh:

That's why games like that are ********, I hate that they're profitable. An ADD ON should be just that, an addition I choose to make AFTER playing and enjoying the full experience.

But there are PLENTY of modes that don't demand the spending of $.

Find what works for you

Just glad we are close to having a rivalry, once again.

Maybe when the new systems come out will Live make that next step.

Just by playing the demo Live made a HUGE step this year. If they keep on the same path and implement the frostbite engine next year they will be on par with 2K gameplay wise.

 why won't 2k step their art team up it's way too cartoonish
it's like the last reference they have for what a neighborhood looks like is from ****ing Wild Style with that neon graffiti they put all over everything

they need to put some money up and poach lives design team

That’s what their going for to lure the young kids and the parents cards in. It’s like Fortnite meets 2K

They are way more than Barbie 2k.

Even me joking and calling yall that, the game is WAY deeper than that.

It is a deep game, but it’s also Barbie 2k. Bruh you have to pay for haircuts otherwise your player is rocking a bowl cut

I agree with DCAllAfrican DCAllAfrican a bit. The gameplay actually is good, and there are layers to the game and customization to your liking.

That being said...I think it’s pretty clear that the game could be better....but their priorities are myplayer/microtransactions first.

Different teams that work on different parts of the game.

Maybe because the devs come around to OS, and some have been plucked from OS, so I know they aren't with the "VC above all" train.

Dudes that work on the AI (both sides), dudes that work on MyLeague/MyGM.

The gameplay is deep. I myself enjoy the customization of my league the most. Yo and I both know how 2k operated when they were still coming for the throne; when it wasn’t cool to play 2k.

It’s used to be all about delivering a sim heavy product that played better than anything else on the market but without the extra small stuff.

I remember when the players only had about 5 different shoes to use. I get companies evolve, but this new direction is wild.

I don't think it is any different. They are still offering different experiences for different groups of fans.

I guess I don't believe in the, "Rubber Band" logic of, Just because they are doing A means they have Stopped doing B; especially since there are different teams devoted to each phase of the game.

Also, you have to take into account folks have been playing 2K for 10+ years, some close to 20, so the experience can get stale. It doesn't mean they haven't made improvements but if you play the same franchise YEAR after YEAR, it will be harder and harder to notice the improvements.

I feel like my best experience came after I skipped 2K13. That jump from 2K12 to 2K14 was much more noticable.

DCAllAfrican DCAllAfrican that take I can agree with. They held down basketball games both college and nba for years so I will always appreciate the dev team. I guess i just wish the my player mode, which as a youngin I always wanted, would be a bit more realistic when it comes to the story. I understand the fluff is what captures the younger gamer, just don’t go too overboard and alienate the older consumer.
