I'm not going to sit here and think that we can sign him as a FA.

There ain't been a FA we've signed that's been significant since... Since....

I don't know when,

If anything a S+T.

It's really pointless at this point to talk about numbers, because we have no idea what the new CBA will entail.

Brian Cardinal > Popeye.

And Caron will more than likely sign a one year deal with us, if he does. He has to prove himself of being reliable again before anyone give him a long contract. He tore his knee UP. He has to show what he can do before getting a nice long contract again.

I think he can, but he hast to prove it.

Evan Eschmeyer > Brian Cardinal.

Man, in that era, they used to take on and dish out some horrendous contracts to the rolest of players.

Remember the failed Antoine Rig'a'deau experiment? He never even scored in the NBA
laugh.gif
I remember his first game was against the Rockets, Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley were straight disrespecting. They'd cross him, let him recover, cross him again, wait, cross him again, laugh, then score.

Pavel Podkolzine pick?

Remember before he actually had any basketball skill, a spot up 3 anyways, and turned into a flopping @!$@$, when Raja Bell used to be a straight thug? Dude wanted to fight everybody, even stepped upn to Artest. He was about to hit Bobby Jackson who had just gotten out of the hospital from having his face broken and still had the mask on. Walt Williams was volatile too, and wasted athleticism. He spent his whole career just being a spot up shooter, we get him l**** mid 30s, and all of a sudden we find out he can dunk on kats, and guard Tim Duncan at the 4. Dude literally dunked on Desmond Mason backwards.
eek.gif
Marquis Daniels and Josh Howard fast break tunnel vision, Michael Finley with the right jab step, one dribble, power jump stop, dunk on ____ (insert any center minus Shaq here). Memories

Whatever dude, I hope some team moves within 5 minutes of you so you can hop on that bandwagon too.

And how dare you bring up names like Eschmeyer, Pavel, and Antoine, and not mention the great Raef.

I had an old NBA tape I recorded from TNT back in the day of a game back in like 2002. It was a random regular season game between Philly and Dallas. Riga only played a few minutes but yeah, he was terrible.

3 straight rings in a row since being established http://www.lfscavs.com/ &#^$ them dudes too though. They be at the gym like they're big shots and %$%$ Ironically, the most humble of all of them is former NBA all star Michael Ray Richardson. He saw me playing 21 like once 4 yrs ago, when they were still in the gym after practicing because they used to use Rhinehart and we'd have to wait til they got done then they'd hang around and talk %$%$. Ever since then, every time dude sees me he speaks. I even saw him at the playoffs this yr and he offered to give me an extra ticket free.

But if we're talking about worthless role players, how bout some Greg Buckner? Dude was actually a beast defensively, but once they league wussified itself, made him totally inept. He was like 6'4 and would shut down power forwards. I remember him, Raja, Adrian Griffin, would always straight lockout the Kobes, Pierces, AWalkers, Carters, etc. to like maybe 8pts by the start of the 4th, then Nelly would go team super offense and those dudes would explode for like 20 in the 4th against a zone or Michael Finley. In fact, that's exactly how that Lakers comeback materialized, where Kobe went 8 for 8 in the 4th and they came back from 3,000,000 point deficit at the start of the 4th.

I don't mind the old stuff and I agree that it sucks what they did to the site and no summer league but right now aint like anything would be going down. I'm just saying even if I was staying in all summer I could find other stuff to watch at the moment.

I really would prefer constant repeats of gametime though.

Kobe Bryant may take his talents to China during the NBA's lockout.

There are preliminary talks about a basketball tour to China this summer — and perhaps beyond — in which the Lakers superstar, who has called China a "home away from home" and has an enormous following there, would be the headliner with several other NBA stars forming two or three barnstorming teams.

Bryant and his agent Rob Pelinka are trying to put together the tour, said Minnesota Timberwolves rookie forward Derrick Williams, who also is represented by Pelinka.

Williams said several clients of Pelinka's agency, the Landmark Sports Agency, could be involved in the tour.

"Hopefully I would be able to do that because I've never been out of the country and I think that would be the best thing for me," said Williams, the former La Mirada High and University of Arizona star who was drafted second overall in June's NBA draft.

Pelinka's agency lists 18 NBA players as clients, including Clippers Chris Kaman and Eric Gordon, along with former USC star and Memphis Grizzlies guard O.J. Mayo, and Chicago Bulls forward Carlos Boozer.

If the barnstorming tour happens, the games are likely to take place at the state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai. Bryant signed a three-year deal with Mercedes-Benz in February to become the brand ambassador for Smart micro cars in China and he has already been featured in a TV commercial for the car.

Pelinka declined to comment.

One interesting name on the potential list of NBA players on the tour is Lakers guard Derek Fisher, who is a Pelinka client.

Fisher is also the president of the NBA players union, which has battled the owners in a lengthy labor dispute that culminated with the owners imposing a lockout of players at 9:01 p.m. PDT Thursday, when the previous labor agreement expired.

It's unclear how long the lockout will last.

If Fisher took part in an overseas tour, it could be seen as a slap in the face to the NBA.

"I can't tell you he wouldn't be interested in [the tour], but as of right now that's not something that's being brought to our attention at all," said Jamie Wior, Fisher's publicist.
