Unless you have really wide feet I'd say .5 down. My feet are a little wider but even a half down works for me. The bottom lace loop area may feel tight upon initial wear but over a few wears that should disappear

I got my true NB size in V6 and they fit fine. The only NB I do half down is the 990v2.

I can't do purple no more but I remember when I use to rock the tassie devil 998 hard, probably one of my all time favourite pair of NB.
