I always go with the same size as my 998. However, the toe box is a little more narrow in a 997, so if you have a wide foot, it would be wise to half size up.

My 998 is size 7.5. GLV and flyknit racer is 8.5. My 997 is 8. I will say get sz 8.

Based on those sizes I'd say 8.
