I was lucky to grab these,,I was upset at missing out on the Patta 920, however to me at least, the 991s are the better of the 2.

The materials on the 550's are pretty disappointing. They have ortholite insoles but the fake leather new balance used is atrocious

yes, I’ve heard more stiff upper and plasticky N logo. I have a couple pairs incoming, so will definitely compare to the ALD ones once I have them in hand. Thankfully I want less of these than initially thought. Most of the colorways I wanted have a suede toe, which kills it for me.

Wife bought me a pair for my birthday.
I tried a pair on last year in Japan.
They scanned my feet with this 360 camera and sensors.
I have flat feet.
They had special inserts in japan that aren’t available in North America too.
I also wear a pair of Kayano 27 which I find a bit more comfy, but I like the aesthetic of the 990v5 more.
Before that various flyknit trainers, zoom odyssey, reacts, chucks etc
