I am disappointed that they are leather. When I saw the mocks I was sure they were going to be nubuck/suede and mesh, I was in at this point. When I saw that they are full leather… easy pass

Feels great IMO
But with my experience I favor the V6 more but can’t go wrong with either.

Recently acquired the Sea Salt 990v2s for a decent price, but the leather has me thinking to use their soles as donors for these instead...

That's what got me interested in a pair of navy 991v2s honestly. I've been wearing my 990v6s for 9 days straight and have been enjoying the hell out of the FuelCell cushioning. I'm already a big fan of Fresh Foam with the Hierros but never tried on FuelCell until that shoe. Of course, it's likely not at the full potential of the running supershoe counterparts, but it's a good understanding of its functionality haha.

I know lots of people were turned off by these but to me they are much better in hand. Switched out the laces to ones from the cream V6. The mesh on the is strange, its almost like a rubbery type material.

I swear if the v2s don't fit my feet I'm giving up on sneakers completely. Haha. Can't remember a sneaker I've been more hyped about.

Unless you have weird feet it's an easy fit going a half size up from your 990 size. The v2s seem a little less narrow than the 991
