How do you all handle the obnoxiously long laces on the 997 and 990v1? Mine are always flopping around and double knotting doesn't really help.

Toward the top, before the last lace hole you use, tuck under the tongue and use whatever length you need for the knot. Sometimes I just tuck the remaining lace under the tongue and don’t lace at all

Last option if you’re ok with white, navy, blk, silver or dark grey lace options, buy the 45” 990 laces direct from NB. Good length for those pairs

I definitely lace all the way up, but I don’t think I’ve really had that problem on 997?

The only 990 i own is a 990v2, and they’re fine.
574 and 1400 I’ve had some long ones.

Grabbed these for my guy @nonheinous and I must say, I haven’t seen a bad pair yet and y’all know how I am. They must’ve stepped up QC big time for this collab or got super lucky. Perfect consistent suede and shape and no toe caps on any pairs. If I personally shelled out 230 plus tax and ship, this is the pair I would’ve handpicked. Just thought I’d share that
