So why cut Braylon Edwards? I didn't understand when it happened and I still don't understand it. He's a good tall receiver and they don't seem to have many WRs on the roster already.

He couldn't/didn't stay healthy.  He was already on the field for us at all.  In hood terms, Braylon Edwards was a non !%+#!!#!$!$*% factor.

GMen really were focused on not turning the ball over on special teams, Ross pretty much just dove to the floor once a 49er was near him
