Say what you want about his career, last year he was very impressive and put up numbers... So I'm not mad if he feels he deserves more than them... Cause he does..

Fitz is out his damn mind.. just because Houston goofed and gave Brock that money doesn't make Fitz "deserving" of it as well.

Look, I want Fitz back no doubt. He's the best QB the Jets have had in years. I don't even wanna see what Brandon Marshall is going to say or do if Fitz isn't throwing to him Week 1.

With that said, I'd like him back on a 2 year deal at most. I get the feeling the longer this drags, the better it is for the Jets; unless a team like Denver and Rams as rumored pony up cash and offer. I can't see him turning it down, despite openly saying he wants to remain here. Reality should hit him and know he's not worth the large deal he is looking for at this point in his career. Should he be paid more than Brock based off comparison, absolutely. Is he deserving of large money in his own right, without comparing.. IMHO no. This isn't going to turn into the Bills deal all over again. At least I hope not.

For once I want an off-season without QB drama .

Fitz is better than Brock, probably equal to Bradford. Fitz has had two good seasons in his career, I don't see him doing it again next season. Fitz had plenty of games last season where he couldn't get that offense going. Then the guy goes and throws three INTs in a playoff clinching game. Jets don't have to pay him because no other team wants him. Elway doesn't want Fitz. He would prefer Bob or Kaep over him.

Yeah, i read we were going after OV, just didn't have anywhere close to the cap room needed.

A few weeks ago i thought 2/$22M would get a deal done with Fitz :\. I agree that without comparing contracts Fitz isn't worth Osweiler/Bradford money, but Bradford's never had a winning season & Osweiler's only started 6 games. Fitz led one of the best offenses in the league to 10 wins last season.

He's far & away our best QB option but unless he comes down from $16-18M i'm ok with letting him walk.

Schefter said Denver is in no rush, not panicking. Bob and Kaep high on their list but no Fitz. Said only team after Fitz is the Jets, he expects the Jets to wait this out since there isn't another buyer involved.

Is Bradford the starter? I thought I heard that they brought in Chase Daniel to compete for the starting job and it was up for grabs.

The NFL QB market is crazy.


Brock got paid cuz he's in the "I don't know" group. We don't if he's good, we don't even know if he's average but he's young, he's 6'8 and he's got a strong arm so yeah pay him.


Fitz is average and he can win games but we know what his ceiling is. So he's not getting money like that. And he already had a nice deal with Buffalo and he fell apart after he got that contract.

Yeah I don't want him, but it wouldn't surprise me if Maccagnan continued the bargain shopping and pulled a similar trade like he did for Fitz just last year.

Getting Fitz and getting Mettenberger are two entirely different things Fitz will be a solid tough QB that will win you some games and then drive a stake into your season when you need him the most. Mettenberger will simply lead you to a 4-12 season because he flat out sucks in every way other than having a big arm.

Not sure why RG3 hasn't gotten looks sooner, unless teams are just waiting him out to get him cheap.
