Official Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Thread

so ill say this but i have no idea if it means anything

i bought 2 pairs. 1 from snipes in store and 1 i was able to get from the oneness boutique

the snipes pair was pretty stiff but not as bad as they were in years past. i cant remember the exact date because i returned them but they had matching production dates of like 11/14-12/23 around there

the oneness boutique pair was at least twice as comfortable. especially the right shoe. i couldnt believe that griffey 1 max were actually easy to wear.
this pair had mismatched tag dates but they both ended in february. 2/26/26 was one

again not sure if this means anything but i tried both pairs on and even mismatched all to find the 2 best shoes and i ended up with an easy decision on the pair that came from oneness
I appreciate that. It's crazy that there are still discrepancies like that based on when/where they were made lol. Think I will hold off until they get discounted.

Been wearing my full retail pair :smh: (wish I got a deal) but I see what yall mean about the pleather swoosh being odd considering the rest of the black panel material.

These are surprisingly comfortable considering I’ve been wearing my neon 95s mostly. My only complaint is the midfoot part near the medial side of the toebox is snug and it’s rough after a few hours of wear (I went TTS)

Considering a second pair on deep disco since these might be cooked by end of summer

Two pairs both with different production dates both defective smh. One pair the insole on the left shoe bulges up presses into the big toe, second pair both shoes pinky toe crushers. Is third time a charm?

My pair just arrived and the feel, more or less, similar to the previous releases.
And the insole is just as bad.
Do yourselves a favor and swap those out for something more comfortable.

would you go tts again tho?

or up half?

Funny that came up I yanked the left tongue one off the black pair from 2021 last week. . Only my 3rd or 4th wear. I was mad but it was more on me for even thinking it was functional.

I'm gonna glue and pin it, or hand stitch it.

My tailor will look at me crazy if I bring her a shoe.

Third pair arrived -second with a November production date- and this time from footlocker -other two are from hibbett- same issue as the other November pair but a little less noticeable. Don’t think I’m going to waste my time trying a 4th pair, will probably just deal with this last one. Can’t speak for other sizes but size 13 definitely issues in the same exact areas on the same side. November production date has an issue with the way they assembled the midsole to the upper causing the midsole to push up into the big toe and some slight pinky toe crushing. The December production pair terrible pinky toe crushing on Both the left and right smh, otherwise all I pairs visually looked great

I think they ganked us on that big bubble talk. I looked at 2015 neon 95s and put them side by side next to my 2026 neons....and let's just say the feeling wasn't restored for me lol. That being said if they try that for other models, I'll be slow to take the bait.

At this point, I'd be shocked if they did change to a big bubble.
Wouldn't it require a complete redesign of the tooling?
I don't think these sneakers are doing the numbers that makes it worth their while. 🤔🤷‍♂️
