wow at blaming the shoes instead of knowing that he was one of the 1st to undergo microfracture surgery and there was no set method of rehab.Originally Posted by KenJi714
I don't feel explosive in these shoes at all. The cushion is too thick and feel like playing on rubber boot. I don't see any nba player wearing these beside Gilbert and one time by Marcus Thornton . I guess they're not good ball shoes . These shoes must be killing Penny feet back then . I think he got hurt in the 2 and then blow out his knee in the 3. Look like Eric Avar was just a rookie designer back then cuz his shoes were bricks

I've balled in them a few times...they're not bad, but not great. I know they fit some people kinda odd and may cause problems in that way, but they fit me pretty good and I didn't have any issues with pinky toes or any of that. I actually found that the cushioning was better than I expected it to be. It's not up to today's standards of kobes/AJ 2011's etc, but it shouldn't be expected to be...Only real issue is heel lockdown, but double socks and some tight tying help it. Overall a decent shoe to ball in if you like to throw the nostalgic kicks on to play in once in a while.Originally Posted by Zyzz

I've tried them with shorts as well as both skinny and straight-cut jeans. Because of the air unit in the heel protruding out (Possible reason why some suggest going 0.5 size down), it adds a bit of length and just doesn't seem right with slim/skinny jeans...Originally Posted by swetooth9
How do these look with pants? Or do they not really go with jeans/khakis?

Yeah, the penny 1's shape doesn't really seem to suit jeans/pants. They look good with bball shorts. You try them on with some cargo shorts?Originally Posted by sniper
