Hi everyone!! Haven’t posted in so long but I have a bunch of Racers that desperately need repair… need the outsoles reglued. Does anyone have any recommendations on who could service them?

Unfortunately, I don’t think a working solution has been found yet for reattaching the rubber on the bottom. I tried just regluing it, but it just came off again. I think the previous glue needs to be sanded off. That will be the next thing I try.

Do you know if a complete sole swap is possible w/ these?

Yes, it’s def possible. My USA racers have been swapped. The problem is that I find if a racer has been unworn, the sole seems to peel off at a higher rate. If the shoes have been worn once or twice at a minimum, the separation doesn’t seem to happen (for my pairs at least). So even if you swap a brand new racer sole on the shoe, you might have the same problem.

Ok, I figured it was possible but thanks for confirming this.

Yea, that’s the same deal for my Kobe 8’s.

The pairs I’ve worn a bunch are fine, but the ones that haven’t seen much wear are now starting to get some sole separation up front.

Guess I’ll have to scour the internet for slightly used FKR’s, :lol

It’s snowing in Colorado right now, which means racer season is winding down… took out my multi collection to get it a little sunlight before most of it goes back in the box for hibernation. The ones with the orange insoles (aftermarket) are the Milan Racers, while you should be able to tell the 1s from the 2d and 3s.
