Back when I was younger, I liked the suede more because everyone had switched to Durabuck at that point. To me, black leather was for "Payless shoes." Now that I'm older, I definitely appreciate the black leather more.

yea it also depends on the quality of the leather. if its the cheap **** nike uses on the black force 1 highs then thats the worse. ewing uses okay leather. The suede just seems a more classic look to me cuz i remember the lows in black suede.

For sure. I just have more memories of the black leather 33 Highs. I did get the black suede Guards (33 Mids) though. Mainly did they because I kept whiffing on the leather Highs and didn't think they'd re-stock.

Well, I originally ordered a size 11. But, from having a size 11 on the Ewing rogues, they were cut extremely small. So, I canceled the order on a size 11 and try to see if they have a 11.5, but they don’t make 11.5 on the Focus. So, I had to order a 12. Length wise the 12 fits perfect. But they’re a little loose on as far as with. So, bottom line, get a half size to a full size up. That thick Achilles padding make them feel small length wise.

I have a question, but how are these cut? Are they heavily padded like the focus, or less padded? I want these next.

I have a pair of the original blue release way back when and they are my normal size 11. Some of the Ewing brand of shoes are cut short/small (Eclipse Olympic, first release) and the Focus, but my pair of royal blue Centers are a perfect fit in my TTS.

P.S. I freaking love these!!! I'm clearing out 90% of my collection, and keeping certain shoes and I won't part with ANY of my Ewings.

That's a tough one man. The biggest issue with the 33 highs is the ankle padding. I'm a 12 across the board, for the most part, but been doing a 12.5 in the Huarache Runs, and I'm fine in a 12 Ewing. They're a little snug, but I'd be swimming if I tried to bump up a full size to a 13. If you tighten the laces a little, it helps with the padding, IMO.
