All macros were taken the same day, the squirrel and chipmunk were done on another. The macros were taken with my Canon 40D, Speedlite 580ex andEF 100mm f/2.8 macro lens.

So I just bought one of these cheap cameras ( I know its not a very good one that you're suppose to have for Photography, but its what I can afford) &was wondering...
What Can I do with it & how can I set it to have the best quality & best pictures? Yes, its a pretty open question. Any Tips for a Newb like me?

it's not the camera that makes the photographer a great artist, but the photographer themself that creates works of art with what they have..in other words, you don't need an expensive camera to take great photographs.. i know a few people that use point & shoot digital cameras, and theytake amazing shots.. and on the other hand, i know several people who went out and bought high-end DSLR's thinking that their pictures are gonna beawesome, photography-wise

however, to answer your question, i think it really depends on how compatible the camera is to manually adjust settings and stuff.. now i always state that iam no pro photographer, so anybody feel free to correct me if i'm wrong

Yeah. The controls on that camera very easy to manipulate. It has Av(aperture variable) and Tv(time variable) modes as well as Manual mode. The main differencebetween that camera and a high-end DSLR is the sensor and lens. But its good to atleast start from a simple camera and get a hang of it. Once you feel yourcamera is limiting your passion, then get a higher level camera. But always having a nice camera isn't everything.
