i'm 18 and just downloaded it in Japanese... kinda hard to play but i still remember most of the plot so i'm breezing through it... got 3badges but my game keeps freezing non-stop! it gets so frustrating!

I'm trying to get back in the game. The last games I had were R/B/Y. I'm thinking about buying the ones that are out for the DS. The thing is, I haveno knowledge of the new Pokemon, Gym leaders, Pokeballs, or other items. The biggest thing that scares me, though, is the map. Are the current ones a lotdifferent from the first gen?
