***Official Political Discussion Thread***

This is a mobile billboard that will be running up and down the Las Vegas Strip on for the debate on Wednesday.

So the GOP has no history of racism? They weren't notoriously obstructive during Obama's presidency? Many have said they see Hillary as a continuation of Obama and she's obviously very disliked. Da Grand Obstructionist Party is gonna obstruct any democrat who plans to build on Obama's work

I'm glad you said that. Because many on your side were swearing up and down it was because Obama was black. But now that argument is dead. It's not racial at all, strictly partisan. Dems just lost the best card in their deck.

Dog, what is wrong with you? Any rational person could easily see the GOP was obstructing everything Obama was doing. Undermining him. You got politicians telling him, "You Lie, Boy"! The birther movement. Etc etc. Also, Interesting how you've been MIA in this thread too btw. You really wanted Trump to pivot huh? What made you come to the conclusion finally that you aren't voting for him? Id like to see you answer this? 8o

And lastly,

The GOP congress was historically obstructionist during Obama's term. Large part of that is him being a black man in office.

The GOP calls him the great divider. White people think race relations have gotten WORSE because of Obama.

Hilary Clinton (A woman I may add)....is seen as a continuation of Obama's legacy.

No goalpost have been moved. Take your blinders off, and stop Reachin'

Race relations have soured tremendously under Obama, pretty much for all races. And the point I'm making is that you all have been crying racism for 8 years as to why the GOP wouldn't work with Obama. But here we are 8 years later, white people will be back in the Oval. Yet the GOP still won't play ball.

Is it white on white racism?

Interesting comment:

The Judiciary Act of 1869 requires only six Justices to conduct lawful court proceedings and render decisions. I said here in this forum long ago that absent a Democrat Senate majority the Republican Senate would deny a Democrat President confirmations until a 6th Justice was required. That means two more retirements/deaths can occur and Republican's hands still won't have been forced on the issue.

PS-That also means that Hillary doesn't get a nomination until a third Justice leaves. And at that point she merely gets one nominee to bring the court up to six, not back to nine. Three have to leave for Democrats to install just one new Justice, in a Republican majority Senate. Clinton is not remaking the court unless wholesale retirements and deaths strike the court. She'd be lucky to install one Justice in her first term.

If this is indeed true, y'all better load up the UHaul van to get to the polls and make sure this woman get 60 senators to work with in January.

Can't the Dems just use the nuclear option with a simple majority?

so da only reason rusty voting no Longer matters? :lol

btw...u really wanna use da nuke option when midterms will pretty much make u regret u brought it up?

This little tantrum is based on the false premise that black people are the only people that the GOP hates

We all know how they feel about women

Ninjahood doesn't even think a woman should even be allowed to run for president

And I love how you're tacitly giving the GOP credit for saying they will disrespect another Democrat president. Bravo to them

Ah so sexism is the new card if she gets in and gets nothing done. The GOP hates women.

Please quote the parts of the GOP's platform deals with helping women

We all know they have, you're not being honest about why they have soured.

A few days ago, I posted an interview with Obama published in the New York Mag in which he says that in private, Republican poliyicians don't mind him, and they will engage in discussion that can be fruitful. The problem is the electorate: a good portion (minority, but still significant) of the white electorate just wasn't ready to deal with the idea of a Black president, and they let their elected officials know it. Obama pointed out instances where he jockingly offered to volunteer ammo to Republican congresspeople so that they could use it in their reelection campaigns. What you need to come to grips with is the reality that some people are uncomfortable with the idea of social democracy if it means contributing to the lives of those they consider undesirables; some people put race way above nationality, and they overwhelmingly vote republican.

Moving goalposts, you and your side were ADAMANT that the GOP was acting how they were because Obama was black. Nobody could get you all to shut up about it. But now, "well his race was only part of it."

Why is it so ha5d to believe that it's poor leadership and policies that causing this divide?

Obama's poor leadership caused the tea party to form in 2009?

Obama's poor leadership and policies formed the birther movement?

These are things the GOP stood by. And fueld your boy Trumps Ascension today. Those GOP leaders stood back, and gave in to that.

So miss me with the idea that race had nothing to do with the GOP's obstructionist congress. It wasn't the only factor, but it was a major factor.

That and the ol....politics as usual.

The fact that you are over here admitting that the GOP intentionally blocked progress....and have no issue with them continuing to do so is hilarious.

Go crawl back under your rock.
