***Official Political Discussion Thread***

I see where this convo can go and I’ll pass. You jump on here when this racist is dead talking about a Republican redemption arc…… but only because you dont support this guy……
No Thank You GIF by The Dungeon Run
Normally you're a pretty rational dude. But youll have to forgive me for not wanting political opponents to get shot and killed.

Very sad, I don’t celebrate this type of violence. I hope everyone stays safe during these unsafe times
I said this before, what we're witnessing right now feels like the brewing of another civil war. People are shamelessly calling minorities animals, criminals, less than human. They're mocking people's beliefs, stripping away their dignity, and these racist "influencers" are pouring gas on the fire. Only two things can happen: either they shut that **** down, or they double down. And if they double down, more violence is coming. Martial law will be declared, and all hell is gonna break loose. There aren't many other roads this ends on.

Just an observation, I think it’s a step above people who say things strictly for engagement, likes, or other reasons.

The real loss in this is it will only further divide the country. The right will point out the lack of empathy, and the left will say tough ****.
There needs to be a divide. I do not want to be intertwined with racist and other people who want me dead or hurt or sick. Divide away.

Given the level of proficiency required for that shot, the shooter definitely knew what he was doing and how.

Wouldn't surprise me if they don't find him but you already know the DOJ will be all over this sparing no expense on the case so we'll see

Shooter on the loose still??

Checked into a spaces and they reckon old boy who got hemmed wasn't the guy.

Can someone point me in the direction of the hate he was spewing?

As Ali Breland of Mother Jones reported in 2024, Kirk has “hosted far-right and white supremacist figures on his podcast and has tweeted in support of whiteness, earning praise from white supremacists.”

This isn’t by accident, either. Kirk routinely expresses his own racist views. He suggested Black pilots are unqualified. He blamed a Black fire chief in Austin, Texas, for flooding deaths that occurred a three-hour drive away from the city. He denounced the passage of the 1965 Civil Rights Act and tried to discredit the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as “awful” and “not a good person.”

Dude wasn't hiding his affinity to white nationalist

It would literally take pages
Don't even have to go that far back to remember his scapegoating and campaign targeting of black airline pilots and staff once the FAA mess started a few months back.

Literally on every hot button issue he'd swing for the lowest common denominator position and use rhetorical devices to defend it

If property rights are the most immutable thing in American law, then how do you explain adverse possession/squatter laws? In every state someone can literally take ownership of your property if certain conditions are met and you don’t act. That alone shows property rights aren’t absolute. They’re powerful, but they’re balanced against other principles like use, access, and fairness. If property really was the untouchable foundation, adverse possession wouldn’t even exist.
Actually I can explain it. Though you’re overlooking the two biggest parts. 1 they have to openly be claiming that your property is there’s, and you as the real property owner cannot then claim your property for a certain amount of time referred to as statute of limitations. It ranges from a few years to a few decades. That is a normal part of property law and property rights. I think your seeing what I am saying as there is no way transfer property like that, what I am saying is property rights are clearly defined and immutable. As a lay person, your understanding of property rights is pretty much consistent everywhere you go in the us.

Everything else changes from place to place and context to context. Off all the types of law you can learn, property law is basically what it’s been forever. Though rights to stolen property purchased by a third party that did not know it was stolen did get clarified a bit after cars were made and people would take stolen parts of cars and use them to build other cars that was sold to a third party that did not know its was stolen….

irrespective of whatever you think about Kirke, escalating political violence is bad.

I said this too a few months ago when Trump was talking about the “return of the gilded age”. That time period saw the largest amount of politicians and business executives be assassinated than any time prior or since.

Chris Rufo was very instrumental in getting the black lady Claudine Grey fired as President of Harvard (first black woman to lead an Ivy League Institution), I was walking to work in Manhattan and I saw his little ****** self and called his name and when he looked up to say "hi" I gave him the biggest middle finger in my life. I was so satisfied lol
