I really think the Trump presidency 20 years from now will be summarized by this 2016 quote from the campaign trail:

"I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK?" Trump remarked at a campaign stop at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. "It's, like, incredible."

It's proven to be absolutely true, and the self awareness that Trump showed in knowing that it was true and in many ways still is- is in my opinion the single most powerful summary of our political climate of the past 10 years.
