This is what makes me so angry and was reflected heavy in here leading up to last election (legit had to beg folks to at least vote down ballot but they didn’t like Joe so they did the nonsense we keep seeing). Posting on socials and spreading disinformation isn’t helping. Griping and complaining but not supporting candidates with your time, resources and effort won’t get it done and never has and never will. Too many keyboard revolutionaries. It is easier to do the flashy thing but the basics are the only thing that will actually work. Republicans voted for years and are now running up the score. They kept their eyes on the prize and here we are. For every March MLK and others led, people don’t talk about how people spoke with their money. If there was no financial pain then things wouldn’t change. Imagine what would happen if people stopped using Amazon, deleted their Facebook and Instagram accounts, turned off the TV, ran for local offices, donated to candidates they like, write postcards, cut back on traveling and non essential travel? The Epstein class would be running scared and stop the nonsense but hey, keep running down the people that actually have more in common with you than their opponent.

the thing with the keyboard revolutionaries and profiles today is that they can monetize that if they do it right. but doing it right usually means being right for their bottom line but not necessarily right for the people. i'll see people with a profile and influence say some absolute dumb stuff, it especially irks me when I know they know better but are just lining their pockets spreading misinformation and political apathy. i'm seeing so much lack of awareness and interest where i'm at over midterms and alot of the time it's from people who complain nonstop about this administration. but when you talk to them and tell them to vote and the importance of voting locally and in state races and not just waiting until presidental elections, it feel like they check out from what's being said and get pissed that there's no path to overnight change and it sucks to see.

as for the gop. they definitely play the political game from a long term standpoint and they capitalize when opportunities present themselves. it sucks to see. I would love to see the dems collectively in large enough numbers be similarly organized and be willing to deal with some short term inconvenience to push some type of financial boycott because money talks.

I know there has been plenty of times where they have worked to not improve lives, but to actively take back monetary and social gains?

I cannot afford the relatively boring life I had last year. And I’m questioning the point of continuing to participate in a society that doesn’t allow to yo to do more than exist.

I know that Drumpf only care about the short term grift. And that Thiel wants population control (here’s a hint- you could have done that by helping developing nations).

Do they really think that their bunkers will protect them if the world blows itself up?

What kind of idiot thinks that stopping international flights to every major city in this country is a good idea?

Why do they think that they will actually win a second Civil War?

As someone who lives within 15 minutes of Valley Forge Park outside of Philadelphia, **** like this REALLY REALLY pisses me off! Such a beautiful park with history & great walking bike paths (a separate section that will go to the Art Museum in Philly. A long ride but fun.

Has there ever been a time in US history when the government and an evil cabal of the monied elite have worked to make the average American’s life worse?

I know there has been plenty of times where they have worked to not improve lives, but to actively take back monetary and social gains?

I cannot afford the relatively boring life I had last year. And I’m questioning the point of continuing to participate in a society that doesn’t allow to yo to do more than exist.

The closest I can come up with is Brexit BUT the UK knew what they was getting with Brexit. Trump, the neo-confederates, and the billionaires lied and bribed their way to this. Now it’s failing because it was based on the ideology that they knew what was best in spite the evidence that they are a bunch of privileged morons.

I still think their only option for them is to cheat at the midterms and America is going to have its SK moment where either we oust Trump and his cronies or we slide into being Hungary….. but worse because in the grand scheme of things Hungary is a blip compared to America.
