I'm sure bombing them into submission and destroying their public infrastructure will finally do the trick and get the population on their side against their government

They lash their own people. Women are below 2nd class citizens. Also, it’s pretty obvious that Iran’s government couldn’t care less about the impact on their citizens. That kind of pressure only has a chance when the citizens actually have a voice.
They already tried to protest before the war and got massacred by the thousands even by Iran’s own government statistics (~3000 deaths). If anything, some of those citizens are probably more favorable to the regime now.
Exactly. A decent amount of the citizens were already anti-regime and many lost their lives over it. Now instead, they have to worry more about Israel and the US laying waste to them.I'm sure bombing them into submission and destroying their public infrastructure will finally do the trick get the population on their side
They've literally extended the life of the regime so much longer with this maximalist approachExactly. A decent amount of the citizens were already anti-regime and many lost their lives over it. Now instead, they have to worry a lot more about Israel and the US laying waste to them.

Good point. Whoever was against them now understands they’re the only chance they have at staying alive. They have no choice but to support. Bold strategy hereThey've literally extended the life of the regime so much longer with this maximalist approach
The best way to get even the most anti-regime people to rally around the flag is by threatening their livelihoods, killing their children, attacking their institutions and threatening to bomb them back into the stone age![]()
It’s not their money they’re spending, and it’s not their kids’ lives that are on the line. The thing with Iran, Iraq, Vietnam, etc, is that you have to expend multiple times more resources to do minimal damage. The war is on the other side of the world, meaning you have to be stationed out there, meaning you’re spending millions just to exist in that space. You’re also shipping supplies to that location. To top it off, you’re bombing dirt and low cost infrastructure.
You know how hard it is to get the world to back Iran of all places? Yet here we are.
aint nobody getting impeached.
