Someone help me understand why they would bring back manufacturing jobs to the united states? Whats the incentive?

If there was really a benefit, they would have done it long before now, no?

The tech sector is booming and the future. Why would a company choose to lose potential revenue? Patriotism?

Simply put the jobs that left are NOT coming back ...Trump has to create new jobs in those industries if he wants to keep his promise about the jobs to his voters ( doubtful this happens tho )

If they make t-shirts here for example or ties, they're going to have to pay people a living wage and not like those prison camps they call jobs in Chile or China. That's already eating up major profit.

Why would a company looking to grow, invest in new labor jobs when blue collar, non degree holding positions are dead ends?

What would they even manufacture now?

Soon they won't even need people to work Amazon warehouses.  What jobs can be created?

It was basically a lie he could use to rally his supporters much like everything else he said. The guy used illegal and foreign labor for his business, but for some reason people believe that he's a man of the middle class.

Automation and outsourcing is the future. The only way I really see jobs coming back is if people refused to buy foreign made products and supported products made in the U.S.A.

The lie he told will only enhance finger pointing and blame for the jobs that are still here, the ones that white people do not want anymore. The white waiters in nyc are mostly out of work artists, those trying to make ends meet. Immigrants drive the taxi's, and white people in nyc do not want those jobs. Here's the deal, this sort of absence of desired employment, is what is going to start an internal war in this country. White people are already starting to feel as if they are left out, then wanting everyone who is not white to get out of their way so they can have their success. Those living with white privilege hate healthy competition, despise it. A level playing field shows them what they are not, which in theirs minds is superior. Personally, I welcome any challenge.

My house was built in Summer in 105 degree weather.

People were working on my neighboors house on thanksgiving morning.
