I assume this was @ me. She's not bad with other dogs per say, she just can't be bothered to be around them. She's a diva

Wag is legit. i don’t use it often just when i know i’m gonna be fine all day. app tell you everything, where they poop, where they pee, the route they took. plus you always get a pic of them on the walk

Man, I couldn’t see my dog like that when he got neutered
We got home and I felt bad, so I took it off... He actually didn’t try and take out the stitches

I felt horrible putting that cone on! Tomorrow’s the last day of her two week healing. She hasn’t tried to lick down there or anything BUT she’s so active I think she somehow opened up the wound.

Currently looking to adopt a lab on the younger side. I know I said I want a smaller dog, but I keep going back to labs. Previously had a yellow 1997-2009 and a chocolate 2012-2017. Might adopt a black to complete the trifecta.

I always had purebred black labs growing up, but my guy now (golden x lab x pit mutt) is a golden/yellow color and i love the color now. When we adopted him i wanted a black one but my wife wanted the yellowish color.

Im not a fan of small dogs but when my wife and i were looking around, we were stuck between a 3 month rottweiler or 2 month yorkie and i gotta say im glad we got the yorkie( only cause hes really easy to care for lol )
What happened with the rottweiler was that another lady chose him when we were playing with the yorkie, but she approached me and asked for my blessing basically cause she saw me with the little guy for a good 30 min. It is what it is, the lady had heart surgery so i couldn't really be mad.

Are you ever nervous letting your dog meet other dogs like that? My dog now ALWAYS wants to see every dog she sees, but I had a black lab that was the family dog that got his ear bit off by a random dog passing by.... I always low key get a little nervous.

i don’t let my dogs walk up to random dogs i don’t know. nothing good can come of it. in fact most of the time people say their dog is friendly it absolutely isn’t.

Had some instances in the past with other people's dogs. Yorkie bit my dog on his nose.
Another time this guy was walking two Malteses. He dropped the leashes and they charged him yapping at him, mad aggressive. Dude legit just stood there yelling for his dogs like 20 seconds before I yelled at him to grab the leash. I have a medium sized dog, and it's always these tiny dudes that try to go at him. My dog's response is basically just to back up, growl and bare teeth.
I try to avoid other dogs/people while on walks, because some people can't control their pets. It's especially more worrisome cause if they're smaller dogs mine could probably murk them if they prod him enough.

Happened to me when I first got my dog... He was like 10-11 months, I’m just walking him up the block... A guy is walking his pit bull, so he goes “your dog friendly?” And so I tell him “yea”... Two seconds later his dog pounces on my dogs head and left a little scratch by his eye
Til this day I feel like my dog is still scarred from that incident, he’s always on alert when other dogs are approaching us... He puffs out his hair and chest

Dogs react differently when they are leashed too, the reaction you may get from two dogs approaching each other leashed can be very different than if they approached each other off leash.

My dog is so friendly idk i just let her go up to other dogs if the other owner is with it.

Yea to be honest, my dog is way better off the leash

It’s tough because my dog LOVES other dogs so much and it’s literally all she wants is to say hi. Anytime she sees a dog she stops cold in her tracks, whines, and won’t move until the dog passes (usually I’ll stay on the other side of the street.)
We had a dog park incident too, but still every time we walk past the dog park she gets stubborn and refuses to move until I at least take her up to the fence to sniff, thankfully it’s a small dog park and there usually isn’t anyone there.

We know just about everyone in our complex and their dogs. We know which dogs to stay away from. But the bulldog in the photo (Brooklyn) is like a cousin or something, always been love.
Our Shorty Bull approaches just about everyone and everything. She’s been socialized and loves the dog bar and parks. No incidents thus far and we hope it stays like that. From the experiences of you guys I’ll definitely be more alert now though.

I had a chocolate lab I adopted as an adult (he was like 4). He was aggressive towards other dogs, which pissed me off because I wouldn't have adopted him had they told me as I lived in a neighborhood with a lot of other dogs. He wasn't malicious, but I could tell that he had some past trauma. Possibly abused. The video the foster home sent me showed him with 2 rottweiler's, so he was obviously submissive towards them which made him seem like a typical friendly lab.
People would literally let their dogs walk up to mine unleashed without even asking so I'd have to sort of jog away and yank my dog and tell the person he didn't get along. Had a few incidents where he nipped some other dogs which made me feel super bad. I feel like most people are well meaning wanting their dogs to meet, but it's not always as simple as they think. Dogs are unpredictable in different situations. Also looks are deceiving. You really have to pay attention to body language.
