MTV and MTV HD are two completly different things. The shows that are on regular MTV arent on MTV HD at the same time. MTV HD is usually concerts

^^ I think you're talking about MHD or Palladium they show concerts from MTV, VH1 and CMT

DirectTV does have MTV in HD.
