NL ROTY leading candidate. Really glad he's having success after his up's & down in the minors the last 5 years and being ranked the #1 top pitching prospect in all of MLB minors prospects and then dropping off and not being the Padres top prospect due to pitching mechanic problems and finger blister issues last season.

He is untouchable in any trade talks including if the Nats approached AJ for a Juan Soto package at some point.

This is our staff ace pitcher for years to come in the future. Darvish is getting older and his contract is done in 2 years. Snell has under performed so far in SD and his contract is done in 2 years. Manea, Clevinger, and Musgrove are free agents after this season.

Padres should and will pay Musgrove to keep the home town kid here. Clev I wouldn't mind keeping him if the price is right and his contract has team options after each year.
