We have two weeks to find a new kicker. Akers is done. He's indoors and screws up. We dodged the bullet with him. No exceptions, he might be the reason why we lose. Dude is out of it.

we're only as good as our weakest link, akers has been good in practice, it's a mental thing, he can't handle the pressure soooo yea he gotta fix that.

At this point if I were harbaugh. Unless the kick is a chip shot field goal, anything 4th and 2 or less I would go for it, especially if the run game gets established early, hell Id consider a fake field goal under the right circumstances as well. The less of Akers the better, when they get in the red zone they need to put up 7. None of this stalling stuff

I love Jimmy and all but Akers must have something on him. Other coaches would've cut Akers even before the postseason started. I know man, he needs to be cut. :x

"Might not" retire?!? What the ****? I didnt even know that this was a possibility!!?? I just assumed he had a good 3 or so years left. Good to know that he doesnt seem to be ready to retire....but I was completely shocked, when I came across this article, that it was even a remote possibility.

I know. As soon as I read it I started looking at draft possibilities, I've heard the Floyd kid from Florida and the Williams kid from Alabama are good prospects.

I know its incredibly silly to talk about, seeing as how we are in the Superbowl and all......but I really hope we can use the plethora of draft picks we have, as well as Alex Smith, to trade up to the top of the first round. Even if Justin is still going to be around for the next couple of years (I hope), this should be the time to draft his heir apparent. We dont have a TON of holes to fill, and we could use this draft to start thinking about the future.
The 2012 draft was clearly thinking for the future. The 2013 draft should be the same. With the amount of picks and Alex Smith, we could easily trade up for impact players....even if those impact players are a year or two away from actually making the impact.

Ain't no way we get Clowney. I'd be ECSTATIC if we trade up and land either Mingo or Montgomery from LSU to be heir apparent to Justin Smith....
