now idk how many of you have drank or actively drink scotch but i bet theres a few in here.

anyways, ive picked up a few bottles over the weeks and ive been drinkingmacallen 10yo, glenlivit 15 yr mostly. idk if anybodys tried thembefore but theyre so so good. post what youve drank, plan on drinking, want to drink, etc

How do you like it so far. I know some people that it takes a while for them to get used to scotch

Scotch is one of my favorites, a great digestif, except people don't consider Johnnie Walker scotch cause it's mixed. At bar's, I love a Johnnie Black on the rocks, at home, I got a few bottles of Johnnie Gold. Johnnie Blue is a tad out of budget. I'm looking to get into more single malts, though, so I'll take any recommendations.

the macallen 10/12  and the glenlivit 15 are so so so good. i highly recommend them as single malts. if youre willing to spend a little more, the glenfidditch 18year is also amazing

.

FTR, in terms of smooth to smokiness

Glenlivet > Macallan > GlenFidditch

That's just me since I love my scotch smooth as velvet.

Also in terms of Johnnie Walker.... I've tried it all except Blue Label

, and King Louis XIV Blue Label edition. Heard those are also

how do you think the glenlivit 18 compares to glenfidditch 18? also how do you think the glenlivit 15 stacks up to the 12 and 18?

I'm a big Johnnie Walker fan. I've tried them all except Green Label. One day it will happen.

I love Scotch. But since it so expensive I don't drink super often, probably a glass a week. I have a 18 year old Macallan that only comes out on special occasions...

I dont really drink too much scotch but I've tried the Johnny Walker green label and it was turrrrrrrible

I'm just getting into scotch. I do like JW Red label. My buddy gave me a bottle of Grande Old Parr Scotch that his grandfather got as a gift in 1988. This scotch is normally only sold in Asia and spanish speaking countries. It is pretty good.

I am more of a cognac person though. Remy Martin VSOP neat is the greatest.

eww idk about Scotch, Brandy it is for me. Teapot calling the kettle black? maybe.

It's been a few months since I've really drank, and been drunk for that.

every year for my dads b-day we pop like 3 bottles of that Johnnie Walker Blue...stuff's delicious.

I picked up a bottle of Macallan 12 last night, very good and smooth. Decent complexity, too. I'm gonna grab the 18 year tonight, and maybe some Glelivet too if I'm out of work early enough.
