All this talk won’t get Lloyd’s off London to lower war risk premiums on super tankers, which is effectively why no vessels will enter the straight.

I’ve got a shipment over there, it’s a nightmare. I’m going Silk Road on the next.

Why would they lower premiums? The risk is real now and historical premiums have been low af. I dont work in the marine space though so I might be missing something.

Anyone buying $NKE at these levels? I picked some up today.

What do you think gets them out of this malaise? For me, I think it’s actual innovation. They are still pumping out mediocre designs. They need new concepts that don’t piggy back off of previous models. Enough of the Pegasus line. Make fresh lines of running shoes, trainers, and basketball shoes on a yearly basis. The only continuity should be for signed athletes, like LeBron, Luka, etc.

Nikes biggest mistake was not signing Kanye. I do think Off White mightve been the answer but RIP Abloh.
Kanye going to Adidas brought an extreme amount of market share and attention that Adidas could never create themselves. I think that was around the time the ultra boost were starting to gain major popularity too. Adidas had major athletes but it just never caught fire till Ye came.

Now you got the next generation rocking new balance, somehow Asics caught fire now. They didn't sign Cooper Flagg, they had to pause Sheduers roll out and who's really gonna carry Nike , who's their next Ja Morant ?

As far as the stock you seem to be in a pretty good buy zone but it could dip lower and you have to factor in the entire market possibly tanking because of the war. It may be a good swing back to $55 to $60 range but long term doesn't look great.

I still feel Nike is still Nike, they still got the hype machine behind them but you gotta look at the peak of their stock was right around 2021/2022 at the peak of the shoe resell hype train and now the resell game is pretty much cooked

Nike is on a long term downtrend until they can connect with the younger customers. There will be short term uptrends here and there.

How many more times can they continue to sell the same Jordan retros to the 30+ age group.

Gen Z does not feel attached to Nike like other generations.

If Chinese brands make inroads into the American market, it's over

The Chinese are selling running shoes for $100 that are comparable to what Nike and Adidas are selling for $300
