This thread is specifically about parties, free stuff, food, fun things, and such. Not just music, but you're welcome to post links to secret stuff or relevant RSVP information if you believe it is worth it.

But there's no way I'd survive both of these events back to back. And I need to be at one moreso than the other.

I would love it if you and whoever else rolls does a recap in here when all's said and done.

My sis skipped SxSW for ULTRA, so it's understandable.. I just feel like SxSW is more bang for your buck if you have a decent amount of people you know or connect with online in ATX. It's all word of mouth and viral publishing in a way, it's a test of your network for real. Had me feeling like Iron Chef last year, hanging by a thread

I will. I seriously will. I feel like I owe a lot to NT, we all do in a way ya know..

Already bought a better DSLR and am waiting for it to come in, bought extra batteries and memory and chargers. Got a 35mm 1.8 lens and a new 28-70 2.8, in addition to my 50mm 1.7 and 135mm 2.8...so I have decent stuff to work with.


I don't have huge expectations since I'm doing all free stuff and elbowing my way into whatever good private parties/events I can find..I'm just there to LIVE and beat up some twitter kitty. Been letting these follow-backs marinate and cultivate into friendships with some of the young ladies

I might just be shooting the NT pre-sxsw show case in Houston, I'm cool with Hollywood Floss and have shot one of his covers. I might leave before that so idk. Thanks for telling me, I might check that out if schedule is cool.

Are the shows at Stubb's free?

Some of the events at Stubb's are free (Rachel Ray Party - free food, Theophilus London + others performing) but some are official showcases.

I'm 18 and staying in my dorm and don't know how any of this works. I went to the sxsw site and made a schedule that had events for all ages and 18+ ...and that's it.

I had a great time watching IPL's live show match between White-Ra and Stephano over the weekend. There's a lot more to these shows than just music. Though it's def appreciated!
