Thanks! Only worked out that cheap because I paid in cash upfront. Dropped $2000 and 60-80 tip per session

dope. i figured you must have been there multiple sessions and built some rapport with the artist.

in either case, no better feeling than getting some quality work done.

How do yall deal with pain. I'm getting my tattoo extended to my lower back/lat and i know I'm really sensitive there. Do you guys have any tips?

Focus on your breathing. I got my first and only on my ribs. I realized how people pass out, they tense up focus on the pain and forget to breathe. Just focus on your breathing, think, listen to music or chat a lil bit with your artist.

Controlled breathing definitely helps.

I hate needles and shots but I like to focus on the needles scraping against my skin while getting tattooed. This wouldn't work with a back tattoo though :lol

Inner bicep didn't hurt at all. It actually felt good, I got both of my biceps done. Outline and shading. It's the buttcheeks that hurt like a mother f'er.

That's not that bad considering. Just the calf sleeve or a full leg? So different fro Luke's tattoos but I actually like the contrast from one to the other.

And sadly after I get my elbow done with the wind bar fill in, I think I am done with tattoos altogether. Haven't been tattooed in like over a year and a half now. The elbow I am sort of just neglecting it because for the most part, my arm seems done. But I do need it finished because I got some parts that didn't heal right. Maybe next year.

So im looking at getting my first tattoo and was hoping someone(s) could help me out a bit.

Im looking to get something on my left wrist. Im thinking it'll be max 1 in high and at most the length of my wrist. (So like 3 inches long?)

Im going to go to some local tattoo shops in the next week or so and was curious about pricing. I know each place is going to have a different rate, but does anyone have an average price of something that size. The cost of the tattoo isnt a big factor to me, but I just want to make sure the quotes im getting arent ridiculous.

My guess is that it would cost a little more than minimum price. So around $85-100? Like you stated, it depends on the tattoo artist. Some charge by the hour, others charge by just the piece. I have a 8-letter script tattoo of my last name on my left shoulder/above my collar bone. Its around 1.5 inches high and 5 inches across. It cost $90. The shop's minimum was $75.

Did you end up gettin this? Id be concerned how close it is to the Hell's Angels' logo. Step to the wrong bike event and you may have some problems man.

Yeah :lol

I'm starting a few inches up from my ankle. I'll probably have this take up the majority of my outer calf/front of my shin. Figured out a decent quote that kind of sums up biker life, or at least my experience with it. Orcis Spiritua Nunquam Moritur. It's Latin for "The Rebel Spirit Never Dies". Been riding bikes for about 4 years now. Even after taking a spill my first year riding, I haven't given it up. Never plan on it either. What do you guys think? Remember this is just the mock up. I plan on taking it to the artist that did my koi half sleeve and getting his take on it along with a price and appt date.

I appreciate the help. Thats exactly the info I was looking for.

What's going on guys?

I contaced Eric Marcinizyn for some open dates he has at Bang Bang. I got a response. $2,000 for a half day, $4,000 for a full day. Now my question is this, is that common for a good artist like him, or is that steep?

I really like his work, plus, I don't have to get on a waiting list. But i don't know how much top artists chrarge, so I need some insight. Thank you.

Did you give him an idea of what to do? I think (don't quote me) he's one of those tattoo artists that charge by the piece like Jun Cha. I believe he could potentially finish a piece in one sit, so to pay say $4K for a final product isn't the worst ever but if it is priced by the hour and it took him say 8 hours to do, that is $500 an hour. I swear I heard though that Nikko for a portrait can charge as high as $10K.

$10k for a damn portrait?!?!?! DAMN!!

BUt yea, should I email them back and ask them if it's possible to finish the whole piece in one day? And also, a "full day" for most artists is how many orders?
