(In reference to the stamps in your passport book)

Any NTers been to any cool locations?

Was it with your boys/ with your significant other?

What locations would you suggest for each season?

Lastly, what are some travel booking tips you have up your sleeve? All that I know of is groupon getaways.

So far I only have Canada under my belt (outside of the 50 states)

Going to England this month. Hopefully will try to squeeze Amsterdam in while I'm out there.

Can we also include local trips in this thread?

Have yet to fly outside of the U.S. :(

Internationally I've been to Germany, Canada, and the Caribbean.

I went to Germany with my family around 7-8 years ago so I don't remember it to well. Honestly didn't do much, just stayed with some very distant family members. We did see a few castles and very old historic things, which isn't really something you can do in the US. We would've seen a Bayern Munich game is it was in season.

The reason for going to Canada was to see Niagara Falls and Toronto. I was surprised how much there was to do at Niagara Falls, I wasn't expecting a whole amusement park-type place. There were several hotels near the falls and the cool thing about the one we stayed at was that there was an indoor waterpark inside it. In Toronto I went to a Blue Jays game and stayed at the hotel that's connected to the stadium.

I went to the Carribean (Mexico, Haiti, Jamaica, etc.) on a cruise with my family 4 years ago. I went on the Allure of the Seas, which I think was Royal Caribbean's largest ship at the time (not sure if it still is). There was a lot to do on the ship and each of the places we visited had beaches, restaurants, and more things to do inland. Obviously the beaches the ship docked at were commercialized, but further inland provided more authentic and interesting experiences.

All of my international travels were over the summer and I guess I'd advise going then if you had to choose. I know cruises are typically more popular over the winter to escape the weather and so a cruise would be a good winter option. I've always wanted to take a trip with the boys, but the one time I was invited I wasn't able to go.

Located in SF Bay Area and have traveled to:

1) Greece: Super long travel day from SFO....basically SFO to Atlanta, Atlanta to Athens, Athens to Santorini...something like 15 hours I think?
- Santorini: Oia (amazing views/sunsets - romantic. Went there for honeymoon) and Fira (loved the place we stayed at there, quiet, private and infinity pool overlooking the sea and Caldera).
- Crete: Chania (old port type town, totally cool and a solid vibe). From there we found http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elafonisi which is still one of the best beaches we've been to inclusive of Hawaii.
-Athens: We stayed in Athens for a couple nights on the return from Santorini and Crete. Great for history but aside from that I'd never go back.

2) Italy: SFO to Copenhagen, Copenhagen to Rome
- Rome / Vatican City: Similar thought as Athens for me, have to do it for historical reasons but wouldn't build a trip around it. Trains worked well and we did do Taxis without getting ripped off. Uber was coming up in stealth mode out there when we were there. Stayed in Vatican City area via Air BnB
- Florence: Without a doubt this place is just amazing. From the history, food, people and vibe, can't go wrong. We stayed in a super old Apt via Air BnB and it was our favorite place on our entire trip. Drove a rental ($$ for automatic, too) car from Rome to Florence stopping in Siena which is probably our favorite "low key" stayover.
- Lucca: Underrated, my family originates from there so had a lot of personal context for me.
- Cinque Terre: Amazingly beautiful. Did the hike between the towns 3 and 4 I think? Either way, we beat the rain and it was worth doing. Took a train between the others.
- Lake Como: I can't remember where exactly we stayed, but it wasn't the super popular town..it was the 2nd most which was fine...definitely can tell there's money out that way. Worth seeing.

3) Switzerland: Train from Milan to Lucerne I think... Once I remember more I will update. Did Air BnB here too...but man, Switzerland is clean, beautiful but mad expensive.

4) Costa Rica: Manuel Anotnio area. Loved it, would go back.

Been to Nigeria, Canada and probably a solid 20-25 states.

Just got back from a 6 month trip to Nigeria in July. Had a bunch of ups and downs but it was good to be around family for a while and really just get away from my everyday life. Made me appreciate all this money we run through alot more as well.

Went to Niagara Falls with my Ex in 2013. It was a decent trip. I'm glad we went, the sight seeing was beautiful and I always loved just chilling with her in a pretty environment.
