how about we just move pietrus to Orlando for Redick. i dont liek him but we can just use him to shoot FT's at the end of the game. cause dude got those onlock.

Pietrus by far isn't a great player, but the fact is, he's better than most of the crap we're going to get in return.
He'd only be a piece of another trade, and although I hear conflicting stories, I wouldn't be surprised if we make no move.
Fact is, I'd rather have Pietrus whose played with these guys for a while than a useless Reddick, regardless of FT shooting. As a team we're shootingmuch better than this time last year. CWebb will bring that down, but he probably wouldn't be in during crunch time anyway.

the Brand rumor is crazy.....I wouldn't go for JO if it involved getting rid of our young talent though....but the rumored deal would be cool in my book. Iknow we don't need shooters, but if we can get something positive for Pietrus I'd take it-but there's a rumored deal of Pietrus for Juan Dixon andJoey Graham...and Webber looked a lot better yesterday than his previous games, hopefully he gets better and better.

Yes on J. O'Neal. I could live with the rumored O'Neal trade. I was against going for Jermaine last offseason but I recently had a change of heart.I'm sick of Pietrus' and I'm sick of his trade value (or whatever's left of it) plummeting. Yeah I know that Pietrus will walk at the end ofthis season, but why not try to get something for him? Only two things concerns me about O'Neal. He takes too many jumpshots (and with the way the Warriorsplay, he'll fit in nicely) and the injuries.

Has this ever happened in the NBA? A player traded at the deadline opts out and re-signs with that same team for less money?
Just wondering because J.O. can opt out of the final two years of his contract. What if the Warriors and J.O. made an agreement where we trade for him givingup Pietrus, O'Bryant, and T.E. and he would just opt out of his contract at the end of the season, then we can work out a better deal with him? Sounds likea stretch because J.O. would be losing money if he were to do that, but reality is that he isn't worth his contract. If he really wants out of Indiana togo to a REAL playoff contender, Golden State would be the place. The other trade rumor of him landing in NJ doesn't sound appealing and sucks because theysuck.

You guys are all trippin....how can anyone say no to ELTON BRAND but yes to Jermaine O'Neal? Are you guys kidding? Elton Brand is a MONSTER. Jermaine hasnever stayed healthy....ever. I dont think Brand will be able to run with us, but he is a top 3 PF in the NBA. He makes a good amount of money, so that mightnot be helpful with all the players we need to resign, but Brand is a Beast. Dont discount him Warrior fans.

Brand is a beast, I agree. If I had to choose, I'd choose Brand > O'Neal.

It's what we're giving up for Brand. Belinelii, Wright, Mickael, Harrington? That's too much IMO. To get Jermaine, it'll ONLY cost us Mickael,O'Bryant, and T.E.

First of all, how do you know the Pacers will take that garbage for O'Neal?
Second, why not offer more and get quality in return? If you're going to deal, might as well do it right. But who even brought Brand's name into thisdiscussion? Is he even on the trading block?

Brand would definitely elevate the Warriors tremendously; for the short term, if he's healthy, he could put us up there with the best of the West...howevergiving up Wright is the biggest problem of that deal...Pietrus/Harrington won't hurt that badly (Pietrus esp.), Belinelli and especially Wright arepotential future pieces of our team.
I'm much more in favor of Nellie giving more minutes to Wright on a regular basis....and acquire JO if that's all we need and have the ability tore-sign everyone (which it seems like we CAN). Both the Brand/JO can be potentially high risk/high reward signings; but the JO deal is much less riskyobviously cuz Pietrus sucks, and Nellie hates POB for some reason and he won't get PT here(has potential though)...but that would completely solidify theWarriors as the Pacers West

I'd take JO if it costed us Pietrus, P'OB, and TE. The fact that we can exceed the cap since they're (Baron, Monta, Andris) already on our rostermakes it even nicer. I'm just scared about the injuries though.
