I've been a subscriber to GQ for like 10 years or so and its evident now that hiphop/rap influence is strong.
You got all these kids nowadays doing the dougie, the "ne ne " , white girls in the burbs twerking ( no complaints here).
Are the days of Guns N roses and Rolling Stones gone? Who was the best new Rock N Roll group? Foo Fighters? They're awesome but they're hardly relevant in pop culture. David Grohl is the man. But he can't do it alone. Coldplay winning best rock album years ago? ?? Coldplay? Maybe alt rock. But certainly not a "rock stars" like we traditionally know them to be.
Rap IS the new "Rock n' Roll".
