Who did the booking for that event, OJ coming out before a Raekwon set = FAIL in any part of the country not just NYC.

pretty much

thats a rough crowd man, what you expect, its like lions against lassies.

I know certain cats gon come in here saying thats why NY ain't hot... thats F'd up F NY blah blah but I know for a fact had this been in Chitown or LA,OJ would've gotten the same treatment. Wu fans are usually on the purist side of things when it comes to hip-hop so some garbage rapper like OJ would've gotten booed at any Wu event.

+1

Nahright and Onsmash threw that event.
They should be able to book whoever they want how they want though. Its always some elitist fans (like some of yall who posted) that FEEL like certain peopledont deserve to come onstage before rae/the wu. OH WELL. you saw the bill and paid for the ticket y ruin the show for somebody who wanted to see juice man?

anyway, he had a lot more energy than usual doing that song

too bad he got hated on

THey're at opposite ends of the hip-hop spectrum....horrible line-up if you ask me.

Yeah I just saw from Tdot's thread this wasn't just a Wu event. But OJ being in the line up with those other performers seems suspect. Imnot saying he shouldn't perform at the same event as a Wu/Rae act I just wouldn't recommend it knowing the fans.. its like Travis Porter coming outbefore a Lupe set automatic FAIL but your right the people paid tickets knowing OJ was a headliner so its on them.

NYC crowd = toughest show in hiphop

you gotta be DOPE for cats to mess wit you.

and it helps if you're a hometown people's champ.

thats why i feel whenever da dips decide to put they act together they'll own again

they entire lineup gets love.

^I feel you though about certain sets that are autofails though.
I think I'm more mad that he was showing them love shouting out NY (like he even does on interviews) and they did him dirty still.

my man prolly had the

face on the inside!

i wonder why you hardly ever hear him on anything with 1017 brick squad.....homie does suck though, and he only has one flow with the same words over andover......why did gucci waste his time tryna put someone on that cant rap?!?
indifferent.gif

he's not signed directly to gucci if im not mistaken.

but if you look at da lineup..its essentially a NYC lineup wit jada, styles, and rae w/ whateva random wu member as guest feature/hypeman

i like OJ, but he's a sidekick and he's not even on like that for such purist to really mess wit him...

and its not even backpackers...cuz wale, cudi, etc. would've got treated da same way..look at da 50 fest.

True.. I wouldn't have booed him because he did show love... guess the purists didn't give a f about showing love.

I remember I went to some Sneaker Pimps gig in 2007 with NaS, Slick Rick, Jeru and EPMD and literally every performer that went before them got booed.

Hip Hop is Dead
Nasir got that +@%# right

IF I WAS JUICEMAN I WOULD OF BEEN ON SOME SNOOP AT SOURCE AWARDS STUFF

" NEW YORK DONT GOT LOVE FOR DA JUICE?"

THEN THROW THE MIC AT THE CROWD ..LIKE JUELZ DID

ehh i doubt its because of the location. you gotta book similar artists together.

if gucci was headlining, OJ would have got a better reaction.

Same reason average looking birds hang out with ugly ones.

I aint too familiar with dudes music, but if I pay money and someone comes on stage doing what he did I would've booed too.
