OK fir the past 2 years I've been on a contract with a local company. The service has been cool except when my phone got screwed up. Long story short, my touch screen got scratched and the protection plan I had didn't cover that.

Whats a good service provider that offers good coverage for accidents and has good all around service? Also who has the best phones to offer?

I'm leaning with T-Mobile, phone wise. Any suggestions?

Cheapest - Sprint
Selection of phones - T Mo or Verizon
I don't have anything good to say about AT&T but typical NTer will say you can talk and browse the web

Sprint.com/sero

best plans in the business.

I'd wait on the Nexus S or Evo 3D though.
EDIT:

YES, I know SERO is dead, but the old address will redirect you to the new equivalent

I would be apprehensive with T-Mobile. They just got bought by AT&T, so by the end of the year you'll probably have to deal with a more expensive contract with different terms and conditions or opt out of it and find a new carrier.

People get caught up in the brand of cell phones far too often. One provider doesn't offer the best service across the nation, despite what their commercials say. Rather, the best carrier is subjective to your region. I would research info in YOUR area and go from there.

The best equipment protection plan, from my experience, is from Sprint. But that was a while ago so it could have changed. Phones are subjective as well.

AT&T has the iPhone...and that's their bread and butter. T-Mobile has, in my opinion, the best selection of different phones. However, Sprint is getting some amazing android devices in the near future. If I were to switch any time soon I would probably either hold out for the iPhone or go with the Evo 3d when it comes out for Sprint.

T-Mobile sucks bro. I live in a big city and I still get spotty data service. I'm going with Verizon once I'm out of contract.

The thing is, you said you had a scratch on the screen. NOBODY will cover that, that's cosmetic/wear and tear. I think most carriers, if not all, use Asurion nowadays to handle their equipment plans, so what happens at T-mo will happen at any other as far as the issue you had with them.

Why rush into a contract? Wait till a phone you want comes out than hop into a contract. Wait a little see what your options are. More than likely your going to want the iPhone 5 (Im just being honest)...

i kid (na im not)

Dang. When I got the phone, my provider didn't even have screen protectors, smh.

Well who has the best coverage plan then, that doesn't cover cosmetic damage?

I honestly doubt that any phone company would cover scratches I know Apple used to do free screen replacements but thats a luck of the draw on who your genius is. You can buy a screen protector from best buy if its that big of a deal.

Most screens are glass nowadays. You won't scratch them.

No I don't think you all get what I mean by scratched. Like my phone was in my pocket and a freak accident happened leaving my screen with a nice key scratch. The lcd screen was scratched and the sensor was also screwed up in the process. For example, pressing numbers or letters on its on and not responding to my touch.

A screen protector should fix that. I doubt a key could really mess up a sensor since the digitizers are behind the lcd panels if im not mistaken but I could be wrong.
