Shut yo cot damn mouthOutkast is garbage, most overrated hip hop act outside of Pac
This... close threadDef more talented, not more influential
Dude no offense but that's a very ignorant statement about OutKast. If anything, their enigmatic dynamic and colorful creativity was lifted them to popularity. Aquemini is indubitably one of the greatest albums ever, plus they had hits for days. They were far ahead of their time man, it could be argued.Anyone who says Outkast has no real knowledge of the history of rap.
Rap is what it is partially to what Run DMC did and influenced. They helped take hip hop national and world wide to mainstream society. They brought hip hop out of clubs to arenas.
Outkast was mostly a regional phenomenon and meant more to the south. I couldn't even understand a lot of what Dre and Big Boi were saying.

Influential to the artistry?
huh?
What did Outkast do new or ground breaking?
Where are all these copycat Outkast groups they influenced roaming around?
Gipp meant influential to him, because he is from Atlanta and Goodie Mobb was part of Dungeon Family. He was biased in the first place. He was speaking for the south and the southern rapper.
Do you think Outkast influenced someone in Cali more than Snoop or Dre?
