hello everyone,
unlike in the USA where the price of the Air Jordans stayed stable for most of the time until the Air Jordan XVI,

the prices made by Nike Europe were like a roller coaster!

Air Jordan V OG (115 USD) VS (280 DM / 140 €)

Air Jordan VI OG (120 USD) VS (280 DM / 140 €)

Air Jordan VII OG (125 USD) VS (300 DM / 150 €)

Air Jordan VIII OG (125 USD) VS (300 DM / 150 €)

Air Jordan IX OG (125 USD) VS (300 DM / 150 €)

Air Jordan X OG (125 USD VS (300 DM / 150 €)

Air Jordan XI OG (125 USD) VS (270 DM / 135 €) price drop in Europe

Air Jordan XII OG (125 USD) VS (270 DM / 135 €)

Air Jordan XIII OG (150 USD) VS (300 DM / 150 €) price raise in both USA and Europe

Air Jordan XIV OG (150 USD) VS (290 DM / 145 €)

Air Jordan IV retro (100 USD) VS (270 DM / 135 €) amount unchanged like the OG's despite inflation

Air Jordan XV OG  (150 USD) VS (300 DM / 150 €)

Air Jordan V retro ( 115 USD) VS (270 DM / 135 €) amount unchanged like the OG's despite inflation

Air Jordan VI retro (120 USD) VS (280 DM / 135 €) amount unchanged like the OG's despite inflation

Air Jordan XI retro (125 USD) VS (270 DM / 135 €) amount unchanged like the OG's despite inflation

Air Jordan XVI OG (160 USD) VS (330 DM / 165 €)

Air Jordan III retro (100 USD) VS 220 DM / 110 €) amount unchanged like the OG's despite inflation

Air Jordan IX retro (125 USD) VS 150 €) amount unchanged like the OG's despite inflation

Air Jordan XVII OG (200 USD) VS (210 €)

Air Jordan VII retro (125 USD) VS (160 €) price increase in Europe

Air Jordan XII retro (135 USD) VS (150 €) price increase in both USA and Europe

Air Jordan  VIIII retro (135 USD) VS (160 €) price increase in both USA and Europe

Air Jordan XVIII OG (175 USD) VS (230 €) extreme price increase in Europe

Air Jordan X retro (125 USD) VS (125 €) sudden price drop in Europe

.....now to the year 2009/2010

Air Jordan XI retro (175 USD) VS (175€)

.....now to the year 2011

Air Jordan VII retro (150 USD) VS (130 €) sudden price drop in Europe

Air Jordan III retro (150 USD) VS (150 €) obvious price increase in both USA and Europe

Air Jordan XI low retro (120 USD) VS (140 €) price increase in both USA and Europe

So when looking back, the price policy of Nike USA and Nike Europe were often not linked.

Sometimes the retail was set much higher than before (2011 III retros in both USA and Europe)

and sometimes much lower (2005 X retros and 2011 VII retros in Europe).

Yeah, i never understood the price policy of the various Nike local companies. Sometimes you get much higher prices in Europe and sometimes elsewhere.
I remember the AJ XVII+ in white/black-copper was priced 260 € here. I asked the Nike employee why the price is even more

expensive than the regular XVII with the suitcases, he told me because Nike Europe purchased only a very small amount

of the XVII+ and so the buying price for them was set much higher than usual.

I guess they were never meant for the European market and somehow on the last minute, the buying department of Nike Europe

decided to have these in their collection so Nike Inc. (USA) sold them a small quantity at a high price.

I can remember when my shoe store received the silver boxes for the new Brand Jordan.
We all almost had heart attacks when we set our price guns to $150.00 USD and hit the OG XIII boxes with them.

Great memories.

hey mate, there are some fine people on nt here who are happy to help out. hang around and get to know people. my last proper shipment was back in jan (i'm not a collector, just buy what i wear), were flints, charcoals, db 2's and db3's. paid american retail for each of them and about AUD$70 shipping for the lot.

ebay is alright and so is NT buy/sell. one time i even managed a multi-shoe swap internationally, here on NT.

just be careful, and stop being raped by aussie retail. i haven't bought from the shelf here for myself since the cement spizikes.

Cheers mate.
I'm not a serious collector either I buy shoes to wear but with so many sweet releases coming up I just wouldn't mind saving a bit of coin on my pickups.

Thanks (nice score on the DB3's)

The official retail for the AJ 3 stealth is 1.090 HKD which is about 125 USD.

The official retail for the AJ 11 low black/red is 890 HKD which is about 100 USD.

Ummmm...there definitely was no such thing as the Euro when some of those OG's dropped...

I went to Europe for the first time in 2001, and the Euro had JUST been brought into currency. In fact, most European countries at the time, were still using their own currency, along with the Euro...

Not sure if those are just what they WOULD cost in Euros if Euros were out back in the early-mid 90's, but you can even Google/Wikipedia it...the Euro was created in teh early 90's but not adopted or agreed upon until the mid 90's and wasn't put into actually currency until 1999-2002 (depending on the country)

The price of Jordans in Germany are just outta control.  I usually check eBay and try to get them under retail.  If I know some friends who are flying to the US, I ask them if I could use their address so I can ship any shoes to them and they bring it with them on their return.

One major problem with buying online anywhere outside the EU are customs.  If your shipment gets controlled by them, you could be looking at customs fees.

Also, I was in Amsterdam 2 weeks ago...The prices (which were in Euros) were the same as they are here in the states, but when you factor in the fact that the Euro is worth more than the dollar, it makes the shoes more expensive. In fact, I remember Foot Locker in Amsterdam having maaad Bord VII's on sale for 99 Euros...I was bout to jump all over them, but then I realized that that's basically retail so it really wouldn't be a good money-making opportunity. I might have a pic, matter fact...lemme see...

Walked into the Foot Locker here in Munich expecting to see the AJ XI i.e. lows also for EUR 100, but no dice...
  Would've copped a pair.

Peace

Retail prices should not be linked...why would they be?

There are HUNDREDS of factors that effect retail prices on all products in all countries around the world...why would you pick one product and compare it to US prices?

Different historical prices, different duties, different freight costs (just to name VERY few) will all effect the retail price of goods sold in any market on any product...it all comes down to the margin requirements for retailers in each country and whether or not the market will bear the retail price that the margin requirements set for each product...

Why not do the same for Canadian or Australian dollar prices vs the Euro?  Why not do the same for bread or water?

I don't understand the point here?
