Sullivan Baller , to clear it, go to tools, then internet options, then click on the tab that says content then you will see a button called AutoComplete. Click on it and clear forms. If you don't want it to save your searches, unselect it from the list.

There is this toolbar that keeps popping up. I change it but every time I change it, it comes back. The buttons on this toolbar goes to mysearchnow.com I think. Anyone have any idea how to get rid of it?

^ Did you upgrade to XP or the PC came with XP?

If it came with the PC, you should have a recovery disk, use that. CAUTION!!!! It'll delete everything you have on your HD. It'll install the programs that comes with the PC.

If you upgraded to XP, use that XP CD and do an clean install. You'll lose everything on your HD also.

During Loadup Screen (ususally the manufacturer's logo is on the screen), press F1.
It'll say PC2100. you might have something different.

I'm using xp and like every 10 minutes, it says there was a problem with internet explorer and you know dat lil window that pops up that says report or don't send? it always closes the browsers. What can i do to fix this problem? Any one hav similar experiences?

that's why i DLed mozilla. good program. the only downfalls are that it doesn't load as quickly as IE, but that's only b/c IE is built into the windows OS. you also can't view videos w/ it either, so i just open up an IE window for those instances. mozilla also has a built in popup blocker and can transfer your bookmarked IE pages.

that error is a hole in IE that microsoft has failed to patch for a while now, it's not a problem w/ your computer.

there is an annyoing Ad bar ( where google toolbar would be) on IE, everytime i uncheck it from the toolbar list , it keeps coiming back. Does anyone know how to go into where these toolbars are and delete it?

ok. i have a couple of problems.

i think i may of caught a virus. but AVG isnt helping.
and spybot. when i try to update. it says error loading something into file. and most importantly. my comp windows ME has been having a start up problem. the damn windows does not even load. this has happend alot. i say once a month... i need help! >:

What??? It didn't go away?? Damn....! Well I dunno cause thats how i got rid of mine. Try searching lop.com toolbar on yahoo or google. Than just check to see if there's anything useful.

Might I suggest also backing up your important files (you know mp3s, PORN and ebay stuff, etc.) on either a CD-RW or DVD disc? You can also store setup programs/installations for future use and the bread and butter utilities like WinZip and plus CD-RWs hold up to 700mb. I'm lucky to have a desktop and laptop for any hard drive failures.

WinME is a joke...you might as well upgrade to XP. My home server is a PII 333 Mhz w/ 256mb SDRam running WinXP Pro. I strictly use it for email. If you've got less than that, I wouldn't suggest upgrading at all but tossing it out the window...Older PCs have BIOSes that aren't compliant w/ XP plus I'm sure the hardware included prolly won't have XP drivers. I hope that answers some questions...

Im usin mozilla firebird, and i cant see the Niketalk Toolbar ticker (or whatever its called) it stays on "initalizing", does the same thing happen to you when youre usin mozilla? Also, when i try to search for other message boards on www.ezboard.com, it becomes a bunch of letters.

My internet often kicks me off for no apparent reason. I use SBC dsl, i usually can not get back on till the next day. Any resolutions?

Also, My D: and E: drives were all the sudden removed. I cant acess them. And whenever i try to restroe my computer to a older restore point, it wont let me. It always comes up and says that the system restore was incomplete. Any help?
