Parking citation question

I got a ticket issued on 10/21

i felt i didn't deserve the ticket in the first place because
my school parking lot is under construction
there is a lot of distractions in parking lot, basically no order
the place i parked at, i have been parking there for 2 months
there was no sign saying i couldn't park there
and multiple cars park beside me

so after class i get a ticket saying : illegal parking, signs posted
so I decide to take the L, by not parking there again, but at least try to fight the ticket

So its been over 10 days, 11/1, and i try to find my citation on line, through the fone...
but its not showing up, on the fone it says "this citation has been cleared"

so my question is, did the cops just give me a warning?
or has my ticket not yet been posted?

Should i mail in a complaint, or just stay low?

Why don't u just go to the police department and ask there?

when is the ticket due? sometimes it takes a while for the ticket to show up online
