Does that pertain to all payments received? Or just payments received from ebay?

I think it's just ebay. I used to get those, not sure what I did to stop them tho.

i got this email too.

smh.... ebay is straight for buyers now..

when i seen a "Cart" option at the top right hand corner of the homepage, i came to realize it was over.

and i got 95 positive feedback at 100%...

Only pertains to eBay I believe.

eBay/PayPal are crooks man. Straight crooks.

When I sell something, I use eBay as a last resort. I mean dead last.

Sometimes I'd rather not make the extra money just so I don't have to deal with eBay.

Man they even charged me a fee on the shipping price lmao how in the hell can they do that?

Only on eBay, usually just ship on time and you'll get money in a couple of days. Be sure to pester them to leave feedback.

.

Yup.

" While you establish a successful sales history on eBay, in most cases, funds from eBay sales are available in 21 days - or sooner, based on how you ship the order. Learn more. " - Paypal.

Since I only have 25 Feedback.
eBay & Paypal hold my payments for 21 days..

( Called eBay and they said that I have to build an established selling account w/ more than 100+ feedback or so. They said keep shipping on time and it'll eventually build an established account.. )

However, once the tracking shows that the item has been delivered, the funds will be released in 3 Business Days.

had this too. but once i got a good feedback from the seller my money was released to me immediately. just have to keep things updated like the shipping of shoes and talking to the buyer and stuff

That happened couple months back for me but stopped recently... not sure why

im with you on that but hardly anyone uses google checkout and it's damn near impossible to get people to venture out of their little paypal bubble world and consider other forms of payment unless something goes wrong for them with paypal.  that and ebay's connection with paypal making it damn near impossible to accept google checkout as a form of payment make it hard to use.

i tried both asking potential buyers to pay me via google checkout before and trying to convince sellers to open a google checkout account so i could pay them for items they had that i wanted and it was a no go either way.  once google checkout gets a significant amount of more users and people willing to deal with them it will be great. that and a legit form of competition to ebay.

@tim teufel   the reason they charge fees on shipping now is because of all the auctions people had that were circumventing ebay fees.   ex  $1 buy it now  $199 shipping costs.   it was great while it lasted though.

i understand but ive used it a few times & once i explain that its the same system as paypal with slightly cheaper fees i usually get the person to still do the transaction....

i can't speak for all sellers but in that case what you would call cheating the system, i called giving buyers 10% discount.    granted i knew i was breaking the rules and would've had no hard feelings had ebay came down on me during that time.

once they shut that loophole down, i immediately raised the prices on all my auctions by 14% to account for both ebay and paypal fees and put this in all of my auctions.

"Please note, it's very expensive as a seller to sell on ebay.  ebay and paypal double dip on fees and take almost 15% of what i make from a sale so I have to factor that into my pricing. If you would like to deal with me 1 on 1 directly, feel free to contact me so we can work something out."

for the most part i've just been using ebay for the exposure and people seeing my stuff while the majority of my sales are off ebay from buyers messaging me and we work a deal.  if my items sell with the 14% price increase then i'm not complaining either.

i wish i had the success you had,  i broke everything down to people, even offering a 5% discount when i was selling if they paid via google checkout.   most of the time people were reluctant to try something new even if it worked.

I think ebay charges fees on shipping depending on what your listing. I have over 1000 selling feedback and ebay has only taken a fee from shipping once from me.

Paypal has never put my account on 21 day hold but i can understand why they would do it with new sellers because some of them are crooks now a days. I paid 150 for a supreme X Visvim hat and the guy is trying to walk with my money and the hat smh

I will agree with some of you that ebay fees are out of this world high now. Charging 10% on fvf on Fixed auction is nuts, but i guess you got to pay to play.

25 plus seller feedback and they take the holds off your payments,

if your done with your ebay account and not worried about credit scores just sell on ebay a couple thousand get the payments transfer the money to bank account, withdraw, close bank acct, lol 1st be sure to change your reimbursment fees with ebay put none as reimburshment payment method , new car/jordan collection/bills paid in a week if you have multiple accounts .... dead serious .buyers get refunded and ebay gets stiffed ..we all win except ebay

Google checkout is cool but it kind of worries me that your CC info is saved on there forever.
