PayPal Invoice preorder scam?

Ok I have a friend that's new to PayPal (unheard nowadays). Anyway he asked me how it all worked and how not to get scammed. So I gave him a brief over most of what he really needed to know.

Well the other day he sent me a picture of an invoice that a guy sent him. I'm unsure of the legitimacy, just seems WAY too good to be true

Now, if he doesn't get the shoe the seller will issue a refund. But if not then my friend should be able to get his money back eventually, but that'll take a while

Has anyone heard or done one of these yourself? I know that shoe when it comes out is going to resell for ALOT more than that. I want a pair, but I wasn't able to get the galaxies or DBs. I'm still gonna try for them, but can't beat a bot

Looks like a standard invoice. You sure it's your friend thats new to paypal?

I told him it was legit. I know he can get his money back, which is why I said he could in the OP?

If I didn't know that, I would of asked hey, is this a real invoice?

I'm asking if YOU would give this a shot. It's like someone saying ill send you an invoice for the red Yeezy release (preorder) for retail... Really? That shoe is going to go for 2-3times retail and everyone knows it

Invoice seems official... Seller will more than likely use ur funds to buy said shoes and then refund u and sell for higher. In turn using your funds as an interest free loan.
