Most people here on NT should be familiar with Paypal, - "the world's most-loved way to pay and get paid." WRONG!
I made a payment to purchase a t-shirt from UTB (Under The Bottom) Life$tyle clothing that sells the infamous Taylor Gang clothing line. I'm a big fan of Wiz Khalifa so I thought I'd purchase a shirt. I used their online shop to purchase a t-shirt and the total cost comes up to $39.20 including shipping. This was done on JUNE 20, 2010. I also sent them an e-mail asking how long it'll take to receive my item, based on my location. Few days pass... no shirt, no reply to my e-mail. Another week or so pass... same thing.
So I go to paypal and filed a paypal dispute on JULY 7TH, 2010. An e-mail was sent to me as the buyer and them as the seller about the issue and once again, they did not reply. So I escalated to a claim on JULY 15TH, 2010 to be able to receive my full refund and paypal gave them 10 days to respond to the dispute or I will receive my refund of $39.20.
As expected, they did not respond again so Paypal CLOSED the dispute and "ISSUED" me a refund on JULY 26TH, 2010. According to Paypal, I was supposed to: "Please allow up to 7 days for the refund to appear in your account. Once the refund is complete, the case will be closed."
My first issue is, how they closed the dispute and then issued my refund. But then on the site, it clearly sates that it takes 7 days for the refund to appear in my account and the case will be closed ONCE THE REFUND IS COMPLETE.
Its AUGUST 5TH, 2010 - 10 days after this case was closed and I have YET to receive my refund. *$# is up with that?
Anyone have any advice??
