I was wondering if anyone in the PI knows any info about this. I plan to go to the PI in the summer and I wouldn't mind seeing if I can walk on or show myskills with a PBA team. <br/>
I'm a 6'2 guard 205lb. Played the 2 in highschool and the 1 in college. Any info would be appreciated thank you

You have to apply for the pba draft and they have a pre-draft camp but you have to play pbl first in order fro you to get drafted, I think its around october.Where you from in the us? And what school did you go to? They have a lot of scouts during intercity tournaments in the eastcoast.

from what i can recall ryan reyes played in the pbl......

Get a good agent and make sure you have the time to invest to stay here...

My nephew had missed a couple of PBL drafts as he goes back to the US for his Green Card and because of this I believe he already missed his peak years toperform in the PBA. Although he had a chance to play in the defunct MBA

However, he still continues to play in the InterCity in the US as well as the PBL in the Philippines.

remember the show MyMVP??? if there is another season...thats the best way to get in...

Do you have tapes/highlights of yourself?

Like what they said, get an agent who's well-connected to PBA teams here. If you're lucky, they may offer you a tryout. If they like you, they willprobably hide you from all the other teams so they can officially sign you via the draft.

Mark Caguioa and Jared Dillinger worked out directly for Ginebra and TNT respectively without passing through the pre-draft camps or the PBL. They werebasically guaranteed to be picked by both teams that's why they did not bother going through other workouts. Both teams shielded them from the public aswell.

If you're not good enough for the PBA yet, there's always the smaller leagues like PBL and Liga Pilipinas. TNT has its unproven Fil-Ams playing fortheir Liga Pilipinas affiliate, Pampanga Buddies.

I'm not doubting you bro, but if you're any good, I'm pretty sure the scouts would have heard of you already.

Anyway, send me a tape or get in touch with me via PM. I can forward your vid to the folks at TNT.

I only have a couple youtube vids but nothing serious for scouts. I played for O Fallon in St. Louis and De Anza CC in San Jose for a year. I appreciate allthe help.

I appreciate the help from everybody. Gameover 2 thanx for the help if I can scrounge some highlights I will forward you a tape. Maybe Illl just try to go theagent route.

very important for Fil-foriegners to have an agent to represent you. these are the people that will take care of your expenses and all while you'rehere

, most important thing is to process all paper your work to makesure that youre a "legitimate Filipino" thats eligible to play in the PBA.

its no sense for you to come here and settle for division 2 leagues hoping that you will play in the big league then at the end, even how good you are if yourpapers are not legit then it will be just a waste of your time and effort. you'll have a lot of head ache from Foriegn Affairs here then you'll end upgoing back home which happened to a lot of players here that tried their luck.

make sure you get a Filipino agent because they are more familiar about the laws here and the PBA regulation in terms for Fil-foriegners. you can hit me up soi could refer you some people that can help you out.

the draft is coming in a few months time its not that late tho, but if have plans like this you should came late last year. division 2 leagues has alreadystarted, if came about that time you could at least try it out in some teams here in division 2 leagues just for you to showcase your skills, but if you thinkyou're good enough and you think its worth trying then you should come down here and give it a shot.
