Please, chill with the PC vs. Mac jokes, if I could afford a Mac I would have bought one.
I got a Acer Notebook 5 months ago, running Window 7, it ran like a champ up until a few hours ago. I was on the web, browsing xda-forums and engadget when my PC froze. It was like that for about 3 mins, so I tried key pressing, nothing. I tried cntrl alt del, nothing. So I had no choice but to hit hit the power button. After a few mins I power it back on, and the PC was making a low beeping noise. The Acer logo appear than disappear, thats when Window 7 boots up. Well Window 7 didnt boot up, something else pop up
Doing some research its trying to boot Window but it cant because of a boot failure, so it was trying to boot Windown from a network or CD/DVD drive but I dont have the boot disk because it didnt come with it. I also read it could be HDD failure or a loose wire. Ive tried changing the boot sequence in the bio setup, but its still not working. I have read about booting Win 7 via a recovery using a USB stick or burning a .ISO to a CD/DVD disk.
I'm just really confused, if anybody can help it would be appreciated. I do have a 1 year warranty on this from Acer, but they cant do anything till Monday, trying to figure out some info now.
It did that twice in a dos like format, than it said it cant boot, need disk? Im lost. What has happen? I just got this notebook 5 months ago. It has been running perfectly fine up until this issue. No virus either.
