my laptop battery died (forgot to plug my charger back in) so i charge it up and turn it back on and all my icons are now larger and my font is now bold as well i used the "ctrl+mouse wheel" to change the size of the font but cant figure out how to fix anything else or even why it happened

go to desktop preferences and change the screen resolution, i think. If the screen resolution is the same then i dunno. sometimes happens to me and the screen resolution gets changed. gl

is it on safemode?

if its win 7, right click on the desktop and go to personalize, click display on the bottom right and change the size to 100%
