I don't think that it's fair to say that they could've been 75-7 just because they had some close losses. I mean, I'm sure they had some closewins throughout the season as well that could've gone either way, so they could've been 68-14 or something. But I do think it's fair to bring upthat they didn't have Dennis Rodman in 3 of their losses and that those 3 losses could've been wins.

Yeah, like peeps weren't saying the 2007-2008 Celtics weren't going to beat it either.

Even the Pistons I believe in 05 or 06 were brought up in beating the recordtoo.

They only lose back to back twice. Phoenix/Denver, and Miami/NY.

That Nuggets loss was bananas. McDyess and Muotombo played out of his mind.

The loss against the Knicks was bananas too. Pat Ewing had 26 pts and 14 rebounds, and Derek Harper drained 4 threes in a row, en route to a 23 pt game. Pippenshot 5-17.

I'm'a find a couple St. Louis Cardinals fans that think the Lakers have had chances to win 72, and everytime the topic comes up, I'm'a throw out there 'It's always those annoying StL Cardinals fans that say this crap.

And I'd be right, because there were Cards fans that said that. Who cares if it was only 2? That's enough for me to continuously, perpetually, incessantly, and frequently whine and moan about, right?

Bottom line, the Lakers fanbase on here is solid when you look at us objectively. Just gets old when I go into a thread predicting who will complain about the Lakers/Lakers fans/Kobe fans, what they will say... and then be right.

on point a good percentage of our fanbase is pretty solid...we know who we are...it doesnt matter what others day...in addition to it there aresome of us here who are homers and ghost after a Laker loss but that comes with the territory youre a good team

i think a lot people say "a Laker fan would say this" is due to those bandwagoners/homers/ghosts after a loss claiming to be Laker fans...one personscrews it up for the rest of us and leads to stereotypes

it used to bother me but i just learned to brush it off because at the end of the day theyre just oblivious and ignorant folks

Make Kobe younger and his current squad, healthy, and they have a shot. Give that team health last year and they might have been able to get to 69.

Boston could've had a shot if they were younger. Didn't they come close to the Bulls 41-3?

LeBron did the 39-2* part at home without another legit All-Star, let alone All-NBA, let alone Hall of Fame teammate. Give him a perennial All-Star andhistorically elite defender and I could see him getting to 72.

i really really REALLY hope he was being sarcastic cause i spent 4 years in the socal area for college and i have come to the conclusion that Lakers fans in socal are BY FAR the WORST fans of any sport. the lakers can do no wrong, Kobe is the second coming of Jesus Christ and they stick up for farmar/sasha/mbenga/younamethebumonthebench.

One of my friends was the whole reason I started disliking lakers fans (i don't hate the lakers just the fans). He would go on and on abouthow Kobe is better than MJ, how Kobe is the greatest player ever, how the Lakers are gonna win 6 straight with Shaq etc etc. Another one of my boys last yearsaid that the lakers will win more than 70 games last season. I made a bet with him that if they don't, i'm buying him a Paul Pierce jersey and he hasto go to a Laker game wearing it and if they did he's buying me a Kobe jersey and I have to wear it each time I chilled with him...come the end of theseason, he welched on that bet and couldn't even man up to admitting he was wrong.

Ska there are MANY blind laker fans, a lot more than you think.

edit: i think it was sarcasm on Ska's part (i sure hope so), but i'm just adding more examples of these type of Laker Fans.

My friend from Boston was saying the Celtic's would do it this year AFTER THEIR FIRST GAME against the Cavs. I was like alright hot shot, put your moneywhere your mouth is. $200 for you if they do it, $10 for every loss for me if they don't. He's like I'm not that confident. He's such a frontrunner and almost the main reason why I hate Boston.

Nah! but seriously with the trend in todays NBA, every player, and farnchise changing personnel almost every year it wont happen again, nobody even comes closeto breaking it

Kobe, has matured too late in his career, just 3 years ago he was ready to leave LA for Chicago, he has played 13 seasons already and I dont care who ever youthink you are, but the wear and tear of playing 100 bruised BBall games in a year will wear you down. Unless he does an MJ move, retire for 1 yr. then comeback healthy and fresh.

Lebron, he simply has too much swagger in him somebody should teach him a lesson (he's lucky all the piston bad boys, karl malone, rodman, oakley, ewing,mutombo, etc. are retired)
he doesn't have a scottie pippen type team mate, Cavs should get a legit perimeter defender, not Shaq..

Wade, I just dont see Wade winning with out a big man as a tandem, I like D.Wade he's a hard worker, never say die attitude.

Carmelo, he is improving, its just about a matter of time for his turn to win one.
